Darren's POV
"My lord."
They bowed together, showing proper courtesy.
"Raymond. Silvester. Nice to see you again."
"It's our pleasure to cast our eyes upon your grace."
Raymond was always more chatty, wearing his expressions on his arm like a new tattoo. He shook my hand with grit, congratulating me with bright eyes. He moved aside, letting Silvester say his part.
"I was surprised when Jason told me over the phone, and I honestly didn't believe him."
"Yes, our brother had sworn never to let his daughter out of his sight, and especially not into your arms."
Silvester and his cunning words. His tongue was sly as a fox and as venomous as a scorpion's sting. He was trying to antagonise me. Possibly push me into anger. Unfortunately for him, I had already settled things with Jason, and he wouldn't pose any problems in the future.
