I walked out of the room, Janet's arm locked with mine. She wore a gown of royal amethyst, the one-shoulder piece an embodiment of her confidence and fierceness. The silk fabric, adorned with sequins, easily caught every sliver of light, turning Janet into the personification of a constellation. A high thigh slit – cut daringly high – exuded more that confidence but an air of electricity that was provocative and sophisticated at the same time. There was an underlay of white at the edges of the slit, hemming it carefully and bringing out the allure of her dark skin
The S-shaped neckline seemed glued to her body, drawing attention to her shoulders that seemed to be above everyone else but me. White stripes flowed down from the waist of the dress, hemming the edges of the slit.
