Luis woke up drowsy to a small Phoenix feather tapping on his face.
Now that the Phoenix clan was in the Xoliti clan city, with barriers surrounding it. Phoenix clan members could use their blessing again. Just not on a large scale or any combat ones. This was a rule that was true in any major city.
The feather that was stabbing slightly at the top of his head from the pointy part, or using the soft part on it to rub on his face to annoy him, was conjured by his mother. A blessing that is different from Phoenix wings.
*Will of Fire*
It was a simple blessing, it could make any Phoenix clan blessing, whether it be Phoenix wing feathers, fire spears, or small flames, have their own autonomous command. Something they had to follow.
And the feather bugging Luis was one such feather. Its job was to keep annoying Luis until he woke up, brushed his teeth, and sat at the dinner table.
Rolling on the bed, Luis covered his face 'Whyyyyyyyyy let me sleep' After another five minutes of this with Luis not being able to go back to sleep, he got up from his bed.
Sitting up, Luis wanted to grab the feather and crush it, but the last time he did this, his mother sent three more; he couldn't even hold it to stop it, Elena would still send three more.
Luis sighed, getting up 'Why can't it stop when I'm trying to change clothes' he sighed again after thinking that.
Luis headed to the bathroom after leaving his room.
The bathroom was right in front of his room. Uncle Raien had two guest bathrooms in his house. One was used by his parents and the other by Luis and his siblings.
On his way to the bathroom, he had seen his cousin Emberlyn walk by. She had two feathers following her, annoying her Apparently she had become too used to one feather; she somehow slept through it when it was just one, was what Uncle Raien said.
Still, she didn't even look bothered by two feathers as she walked by, yawning, responding to Luis's good morning.
Walking into the bathroom, Luis could see Lira and Kael standing on stools brushing their teeth's very visibly annoyed.
Luis chuckled every day seeing them. Since they looked more annoyed by the feathers than him, especially since either Lira or Kael would have three or sometimes even more on them. Clearly, they hadn't understood their mother enough yet.
Hearing Luis's chuckle as he entered the bathroom. Spacious enough to fit many people in the room.
They both turned around with hateful gazes.
Kael spoke first, "Stop laughing every day, there's a feather on you as well, why do you laugh like it's only us suffering?"
Luis just laughed and smirked at Kael and moved beside Lira, grabbing his toothbrush since three people could easily fit in front of the sink, especially since Kael and Lira were small.
Lira didn't speak but just kept staring in annoyance at Luis not being bothered as much. Looking at him, an idea formed in her head. 'If I grab his feather and church it will mine increase of his' she thought with a creepy smile forming on her face.
Luis notching this raised an eyebrow while looking at her because she was smiling creepily while looking at him through the mirror.
Still half asleep, Luis realised too late what Lira had done. She grabbed the feather on his face after slightly jumping from the stool. Luis looked at her with disbelief, with the toothbrush in his mouth.
Not even seconds later, as Luis just stared, three more feathers came through the edges of the bathroom door, harassing him.
Luis thought it couldn't get worse, but as soon as the three more feathers came, Kael spat out all the water out of his mouth onto Luis, whom he was staring at because of what Lira did. Worse, it was toothpaste mixed with water. Some also spashed on Lira, but Kael was mostly looking at Luis and laughing.
The laughter caused water to be spat at him. Luis didn't even bother getting the water off his face. A fuse had been lit inside him.
Soon, chaos erupted after that, with feathers flying in as they all kept grabbing each other. Three feathers for every one grabbed.
The chaos happened for around thirty seconds before Elena slammed open the door because of how many of her feathers were being activated.
She screamed at the top of her lungs, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!"
Opening the door, her anger rose even more. Seeing both Luis and Kael fully drenched in water. Lira was also drenched, but not as much. All three of them, though, had their hands full with feathers.
They all stared in horror at their mother because they just realized what they were doing, and it had been a long time since they had seen her this mad.
All of them gulped at once, seeing the seriousness on their mother's face.
"Do you think this is a joke?"
They all stood there, their heads facing towards the floor, as they faced the fury of their mother for the next few minutes.
Thirty minutes later, they all came out having showered and cleaned themselves off. They all used different bathrooms since Elena told them to get themselves cleaned instantly. Lira used Emberlyn's, Kael used his parents and Luis used the one his siblings shared; he also had to clean it. It took him a bit longer than his siblings to get out because of that.
Coming into the living room, which also had the dining table in it, with a view of the kitchen, no wall separating it. Luis saw that breakfast was still being prepared. By Uncle Raine's wife, Zira, and his mother.
The living room was quite spacious, it was in the middle of the tree with sunlight coming from the top. Mirrors are being placed at the top middle.
Luis said morning to Zira when he also saw his mother gaze at him, still a little scared, he turned and went to the dining table, pouring himself a drink.
Then he turned to the living room when he noticed an old man, well, not an old man but a gentleman who appeared on the older side. Sitting next to the ground on the carpet in front of Emberlyn, Lira, and Kael. Who seemed to have their aura being checked by them, and also being told something.
Seemingly noticing his gaze, he turned to face Luis, staring at him for a few seconds. His gaze was intense, seemingly seeing through him to the very depths of his soul.
After a few seconds, his gaze lightened, and he spoke. "You're Luis, right?" Luis nodded. "What are you standing for, boy? Come greet your grandpa."
"Huh," Luis responded. Luis hadn't known he had a grandpa, his parents never said he had any, even when he asked.
Luis looked at his mother, who nodded in return.
Luis slowly walked over slowly standing beside Kael.
"Sit down, what are you staring at?"
Luis sat down awkwardly and a bit confused
The man sighed, "How many people will I have to tell. I'm your dad's father."
Luis then responded awakwdly "but I remember asking dad if I had any grandparents and he said I didn't except grandmother Isabella"
The man grumbled under his breath again. "It's because my stupid son thought I might die in the Underworld, so it was better than saying you had any."
"Now stop staring at me and close your eyes and focus on your cores like the rest of them."
Luis nodded and did as he was told. He didn't want to anger another adult or his mother by not listening to his grandfather he met for the first time. Thinking again, Luis thought, 'I definitely don't want to annoy Mom any further. '
After closing his eyes, Luis felt aura surge into him from the man, his grandfather. "You can try or reject my aura or let it roam in your body, it's your choice. The younger ones are too weak to reject it, though."
Luis had experienced this before, but he hadn't tried to reject the aura last time, so he fully focused on rejecting the aura this time.
As soon as Luis started to reject it. A wave of pressure washed over him, as if he were below a waterfall, the water pushing down on him. As if gravity were pulling him down to the ground. It didn't last long, though, even though Luis could tell his grandfather was strong and had way more aura. Luis's body was doing most of the work, rejecting the aura inside of him using his aura to reject it. When he thought of rejecting the aura, his body started working on its own. Slowly getting rid of the aura faster and faster.
It only took a minute to reject the aura. After which, Luis opened his eyes to see his grandfather staring at him. There were four aura strings red in color that were coming of his grandfather, and everyone sat down. "That was faster than expected, hmmm, my grandchildren should be this good." His gaze then went to the rest. "I guess that's enough."
After which, the aura beams retreated. Luis then heard a few groans. Looking to his right, he noticed his siblings and cousin all sprawled on the ground. They all groaned.
"That was so tiringggg,g" Kael groaned.
Then a golden flame engulfed all of them. It took all the tiredness away from them. They all blinked in shock at how fast it vanished.
"Come on, sit, stop lying down, I made the pain go away." Their grandfather said.
Feeling weirdly rejuvenated, they all sat up, just staring at their grandfather.
"Don't you want to ask any questions? It's your first time meeting me, ask whatever you want," their grandfather said.
Kael and Emberlyn spoke at the same time in a curious and excited tone.
Kael asking, "What was that golden flame you used?"
Emberlyn asked, "What was the underworld place you talked about?"
Their grandfather responded to Kael first. The flame is called
*Divine Flame*
"There are different versions of Divine Flame. I used the Divine Flame of healing. There's also the Divine Flame of destruction, restoration, and so on. They are all gold in color, but they are all different blessings.
The underworld is a dangerous place, mostly unexplored. Not a place you should go unless you are a grandmaster or above tier."
Luis then asked a question. "Are you at the grandmaster tier then, and why did we just do that, you using aura on us?"
Renaros nodded. "I am and I did that because I was checking your aura and cores."
Luis wanted to ask more questions, but before he could get the chance, his mother called him to come eat breakfast.
