Inox had finally settled into a steady pace, and Logan followed behind comfortably on Lucent's back.
It just felt wrong to ride a humanoid like Inox — especially with that upper body shaped like a man. Not to mention, sitting there would've blocked his view entirely.
Lucent, on the other hand, was a far better mount. His broad back was perfect for riding, and the thick fur made it feel like lounging on a living, walking pillow.
Logan yawned. The afternoon sun was starting to dip — it had to be close to four. He didn't know how long it would take to find the creature the Light Spirit intended him to tame … but he knew time was of the essence.
Eventually, they reached a wide clearing where the trees gave way to an open field.
There, Inox suddenly stopped.
