Chapter 166 - Chapter 167: Thrones, Nirvana, and the Path Forward

The moon spilled through the wide crystalline windows, casting silver white rays across the room where Jin sat, surrounded by floating books suspended in quiet orbit above the marble table. His fingers turned a delicate page as Eirlys and Daemon, the two children, lay curled up peacefully in his lap, their soft breaths like whispers of calm.

Suddenly, the silence broke as Nyreth entered the room.

"Master, what are you doing?" he asked gently.

Jin closed the book with a soft thud. "Just reading," he replied, his voice calm. "Can you take them to their rooms?"

Nyreth nodded and clapped twice. Two maids appeared instantly, bowing. They lifted the children carefully and carried them away, laying them gently in their beds.

Jin stood and stretched, his joints softly cracking.

"I think… being a father is tough," he muttered with a faint smile, "but it's also… peaceful. Enjoyable."

Nyreth smiled. "Of course, my lord."

His eyes then fell upon the book Jin had been reading. "What's that?"

Jin turned to it and sighed. "This book... I was reading about some things I don't fully understand. Can you explain them to me?"

"Certainly, my master," he said, standing beside him.

"I want to understand," Jin began, "what is a Throne… and what is Nirvana Temper?"

Nyreth's expression shifted subtly—surprise flickered in his eyes. Then, he nodded.

"Master, beyond countless foreign cosmologies, there is a grand division. All cosmologies fall into two categories: the Royal Cosmologies and the Victim Cosmologies. The Royal Cosmologies are those that house Thrones—primordial seats of divine authority. Only six exist."

he raised his hand, and six ethereal symbols hovered in the air.

1. Throne of the Silver King – Governs Time, Eternal Truth, Balance, Humanity, Will, and Supreme Liberation.

2. Throne of the Ocean Master – Commands the Ocean of Life and Death, and Chaos.

3. Throne of the Flame Arcane – Embodies Destruction, Disorder, Entropy, and Creation.

4. Throne of the Whisper Lord – Rules over Silence, Echo, Dreams, and Nightmares.

5. Throne of the Divine King – Controls Fate, Destiny, Rebirth, Reincarnation, and Karma.

6. Throne of the Celestial Lord – Represents the eternal Cycle of Light and Darkness.

"All other cosmologies, which lack these Thrones, are considered Victim Cosmologies."

He turned to Jin. "Now, to answer your question: What is a Throne? It is not merely an object. It is a concept that exists outside of cosmological boundaries. If this cosmology is a storybook, then the Throne will be both the author and the reader—an entity that holds dual perspectives."

Jin narrowed his eyes. "So it exists outside reality?"

"Yes," he nodded. "Where Thrones reside is known as True Heaven. Each Throne has his own True Heaven. But…" his voice darkened, "one of the six Thrones—the Throne of the Celestial Lord—was shattered."

Jin's breath caught. "How?"

Nyreth's gaze dropped, his voice growing distant. "War… War is a concept that cannot be escaped. Royal Cosmologies clashed against each other to prove supremacy. In one such war, our Royal Cosmology conquered another and absorbed two Thrones. The Silver King, the ruler of our realm, chose salvation over domination. But peace was brief. The defeated cosmology's remnants stirred chaos, leading to a war of wills."

His voice darkened. "In that war, the Throne of the Celestial Lord was shattered. The balance of Light and Darkness broke. To restore it, the Silver King sacrificed himself and birthed a new being—the Queen of Digital Life, Eleanor. She is the architect of Monarchs and Overlords. More importantly, she created True Heaven... and the Temple of Tumaru."

Jin's eyes widened. "She created the Temple of Tumaru?"

Nyreth nodded gravely. "Indeed. Her power transcends even the Thrones."

"And what is Nirvana Temper?" he asked.

Nyreth's tone became reverent. "Nirvana Temper is a mythical state—beyond the Thrones, beyond the structure of cosmologies. It defies the power of True Heaven which itself can overwrite all types of Laws, Rules, Logic, System. But more importantly no being has achieved it… yet."

Jin's next question caught her off guard.

"What if someone did achieve Nirvana Temper? Could they enter and rule their own cosmology… or another?"

Nyreth slowly nodded. "There are only one paths. First: create an Avatar—a flawless clone sharing your intelligence, emotions, and perspective. The Avatar remains eternally linked to you. It cannot be destroyed unless you will it. Through this, you can live two lives—one within your original cosmology, and one as a Throne-bearer or Nirvana Temper Awakener."

He paused for a moment then spoke. "But, Master… why are you asking me this?"

Jin offered a subtle smile. "Just… preparing for what comes next."

Then his tone shifted.

"I still don't know how to confront the Army of Zhel-Vorah. Can you advise me?"

Nyreth hesitated, then answered, "There may be a way. Beneath the Lunar Castle, my former master Zenex sealed his ultimate army. But there's a cost. Unsealing them will destroy the castle—and if the castle falls, the entire structure of the Lunar World will collapse."

Jin chuckled. "Then I'll use another path. Beneath that castle lies the Cup of Reincarnation. Aurelion once sought to wield it, but failed. I won't. I'll reshape the Lunar World before the collapse occurs. This time, I will fulfill what he could not."

Nyreth bowed. "As always, your will reshapes destiny, my lord."

Jin turned his gaze toward the window where the twin moons hung above the horizon.

War was coming—but so was a new dawn.
