The Revenant's broken staff swung toward Li An like a falling star, splitting the void with bone-shearing force. Spirit energy flooded her limbs as she twisted midair, barely avoiding the spectral weapon. Her hair whipped in the vacuum of space as she spun backward, forming three rotating spirit disks around her. This was formed as she quickly drew glyphs in the void.
Each disk snapped outward like an orbiting blade. They carved spirals through the Revenant's projection, but the skeletal figure seemed impervious to all but the most focused blows. It twisted unnaturally, its ribcage cracking open to emit a pulse of soul-burning energy.
Li An gritted her teeth, barely reinforcing her spiritual shield in time.

Zhi's alert pulsed in her vision. But Li An's narrowed eyes said otherwise.
