Ross stepped closer.
"I'm just giving him what he deserves."
Colleen shook her head, tears welling in her eyes. "That's not true—he didn't—he wouldn't—"
Ross cut her off with a harsh laugh.
"Save it," he said. "You think I don't know everything? I know what he said to her. I know what he wanted. But I'm not like him. I don't fail."
His eyes dropped to her lips.
"I win."
And then, before she could react, he grabbed her and kissed her.
It wasn't tender. It wasn't gentle. It was punishing—wild, feral, filled with dominance and possession. His mouth crashed against hers with brutal force, and Colleen gasped, stunned by the sheer intensity of it. His hands gripped her arms, pulling her close, locking her in place.
She tried to push him away, tried to twist free—but there was no escape. Her body tensed, frozen in place by fear and confusion and something else—something darker, twisting low in her belly that she didn't want to name.
