Alexander's POV,
I was in the healer's cabin, talking to the healer about the new medicines for sick pups, when my second-in-command walked in.
"What happened, Ezikel?" I asked without looking at him and reading the medicine plans that the healer had made.
"Alpha, we have a problem."
"What?" I finally looked at him with a frown, which only deepened when I saw the worry on his face.
"Someone from The Red Wood pack is here."
"What?!" I immediately stood up from my seat, abandoning the file on it, and walked closer to him. "What did you say?" I asked in a lower and slightly threatening voice.
"Someone from The Red Wood pack is here," he repeated.
"That's impossible! The council captures them!"
"They have a mark of the pack they belong to."
"Does Michael know?"
"No, alpha. He wasn't informed."
"Good. Where is he?"
"In the center of the pack"
"Fuck!" I said and ran to the center of the pack. This news better not reach Michael, or else there will be a lot of problems, and him getting triggered will be the biggest one, and I don't want him like that because he suffers a lot when he is triggered.
I slow down when I reach the center of the pack and see the crowd. The pack members make a way for me to where the member of that hideous pack is standing.
"What the fuck are you doing here?!" I growled the moment I saw the person. I looked at them up and down, but I couldn't guess their gender or second gender because they are covered with clothes from head to toe and have put on a scent blocker.
"I want to see Michael," the voice seems to be a man.
"No. Why are you here? Who are you? Also, how the fuck are you here?! I remember the council capturing the whole pack." I growled and stepped closer to him.
"I ran away," he stated.
"Are you here to take revenge?"
"No, I am here to thank him," I frowned.
"You are here to thank him?"
"Yes, alpha."
"Why?"
"Because if he hadn't told everything to the council, then I would have been the next victim of the pack." he slowly removes the extra clothing covering his body and the scent blocker.
My eyes widen when I take in his scent. He is an omega.
"You are an omega," I whispered.
"Yes, alpha. The future alpha liked me for a long time, and he wanted to breed me with his pup before I was twenty, and found out that we are not mates."
"Alex-" I heard Michael's voice and immediately turned around. "Michael..." I said softly and walked to him slowly. I held his hand.
"Are you okay? I felt your anger," He asked, looking at me. My body was blocking the kid behind me.
"I am fine, now," I pecked his forehead.
"Who is that?" Michael asked.
"He..." I stepped away so that Michael could see him. "He is from The Red Wood pack." As soon as those words left my mouth, I could feel his anger, panic, fear, and anxiety all at once, and I didn't like that one bit. He is still scared of them.
I stepped closer to Michael and whispered in his ear, "He came to thank you."
"Why?" he whispered back. His eyes never left the omega.
"Because he was about to be the future Luna, like you."
"Oh," that's all he said.
He kept looking at the omega like that for a few minutes, making every one of us anxious before telling, "He is an omega."
"Yes, I am," the omega said.
"What do you want to do?" I whispered in his ear.
"I think I should go," the omega said.
"Do you have a place to go to?" Michael asked. The omega shook his head. "But I will find one."
"How? It isn't easy, especially for an omega. Even as a beta, I had problems finding a pack." he turned his face to me, and I knew what he was going to ask: "Can he stay here?"
"Of course," I smiled and kissed his forehead. I looked at my second-in-command, "Get the omega in the pack house and help him settle down."
"Yes, alpha." Ezikel walked to the omega and guided him to the pack house without touching him and maintaining an appropriate distance.
"What's happening? I saw Ezikel escort an omega to the pack house," Dad asked with a frown as soon as he came.
"He is from The Red Wood's Pack. He was going to be the next victim, but Michael told everything to the council about the pack before that could happen." I said. I looked at Michael, and he looked lost, zoned out like he was thinking about something very deep.
"Michael?" I shake him lightly.
"Yes?" he looked a little startled.
"You alright, there?" I asked softly and he nodded with a small smile, which he normally shows when he is not interested in either talking about what he feels or it is not just the right place, according to him.
"I have work."
"We have to talk to the omega."
"Let the omega settle down for a bit, then we will talk to him, okay? I have a lot of work. I still haven't found someone who would take my beta position." I gasped in surprise because I will be taking over the pack as the head alpha in a few months, and he will be taking over with me as the luna.
"You should hurry then," I said. He nodded and left from there.
