Michael's POV
I was sleeping with Alex on his bed, in his room. He slept, but I didn't, I couldn't. I waited for the time to come, and when it came, I smiled lightly. I turned to Alex and shook him to wake up.
"Alex, wake up!" I called, but he didn't answer. He didn't even groan. Gosh, he is a heavy sleeper.
I decided to get out of his hold, which was hard because his grip was tight on me even when he was asleep. Gosh, he's strong. I stood beside Alex. I saw a glass filled with water, I took the glass and poured it on his face.
"ASHIHPSHWP," he woke up while speaking gibberish.
"Get up. It's time to go" I kept the glass down and crossed my hands against my chest while he looked at me with 'What the fuck?!' expression.
He looked at the digital clock telling the time in red, 3:02 am. He looked at me, again with a different expression that said 'Are you fucking serious?!'
"Yes, I am fucking serious. Change, so that we can leave," I replied to him and took the outfit he had laying on the chair in the corner of his room, so that we don't have to think about what to wear the next morning means right now and threw it on him.
"It's too early, Michael," he whined like a child. I responded to him with an eye roll.
"Get dressed. We are leaving in ten minutes, and if you are not ready by then, I will have to leave you and go alone. I have no problem in doing that," and I know that triggered both him and his wolf because he immediately got out of the bed and started changing his clothes.
Twenty minutes passed, and we were already in the car. It took Alex only seven minutes to get ready with the bags in his hands, and the remaining thirteen minutes were us putting the bags in the car trunk and getting in the car.
"Where are we going?" Alex asked for the nth time since yesterday, and I am still not sure if I should tell him or not, because if he knew, then he wouldn't let the plan be a success. This will sound selfish, but the only reason I told him was because I felt safe when he was around me, something only he made me feel.
"Mind telling me anything about where we are going or why we are going there? Other than the fact that the only reason you are taking is because I make you feel safe," I was surprised, but I forgot he can read my thoughts too... I am still not used to it.
"You will know soon," I sighed. I wanted to tell him, but just not yet. He would never let me do what I planned if I told him where we are going.
He kept his hand on mine, which was on the gear, and wrapped his fingers around my fingers as he held the gear with me.
"Relax, I am here. I will make sure no one will hurt but it would be easier to protect you if you told me where we are going."
I chuckled because I knew what he was trying to do, he was trying to get the plan out of mouth but I shook my head "You can protect me just fine even if you don't know where we are going" I raised our hands and pecked the back of his hand "Also, those cheap tricks don't work on me. Try something new." he chuckled and leaned his head back on the seat while looking at me and making small talks with me. Getting to me as a mate.
