Bella was half-asleep, her soft lavender nightdress slightly crumpled, hair messy from tossing in bed. The gentle knock on the door barely registered in her sleepy mind, and she rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand, blinking through the blurriness.
"Who~~" she murmured, her voice a soft sleepy hum, innocent and vulnerable. She dragged her feet toward the door, yawning quietly.
But before she could even reach for the handle, the door slammed open from the outside, making her stumble back in shock.
"A-Ah—"
Her gasp was cut short when a sharp pain shot through her scalp.
"Ow!" she whimpered, her eyes snapping open in pain and fear.
Someone had grabbed a fistful of her hair and yanked it back harshly, forcing her head to tilt. Bella's heart pounded wildly, and before she could even register who it was—
BAM.
She was shoved back against the wall so hard the frame beside her bed trembled.
