Qian Renxue looked at Ye Lingling in surprise.
Couldn't Ye Lingling see that if the four of them did this, it would just hand Ye Feng an advantage on a silver platter?
No—Ye Lingling's slightly flushed cheeks betrayed her thoughts. She clearly knew what would happen, and still agreed to it. But why?
Qian Renxue was taken aback. She suddenly realized—Ye Lingling had fallen for Ye Feng. Her gaze shifted to him, and scenes of Ye Feng taking advantage of her every time they met while she was disguised as Xue Qinghe flashed through her mind.
The more she thought about it, the more her face flushed.
Ye Feng was such a damn bastard.
And then, the thought of how he'd forced her to abandon her years-long disguise made her furious. Over a decade of careful planning, all wasted because of him. She couldn't accept it—and definitely couldn't forgive him.
"No. Still no!" Qian Renxue glared at Ye Feng. She couldn't let him take advantage of her again.
Ye Feng noticed her gaze and instantly understood what was on her mind. He raised his hands and said, "Why are you looking at me like that? This wasn't my idea. You all can discuss it amongst yourselves."
Ning Rongrong gave Ye Feng a glance, then continued, "Let's put it this way—anyone willing can follow my suggestion. If you're not willing, you won't get the rope protection. If you fall into the abyss and something happens, don't blame anyone else."
Well!
Qian Renxue's heart skipped a beat.
Well!
Hu Liena was stunned too.
Qian Renxue and Hu Liena exchanged glances. While they hesitated, Ning Rongrong and Ye Lingling had already taken off their coats, twisted them into makeshift ropes, and tied them around each other's waists.
Both Qian Renxue and Hu Liena were caught off guard. Their eyes slowly shifted toward the abyss below.
Qian Renxue's martial spirit was the Six-Winged Angel, and she possessed a four-winged external spirit bone. The sky was her domain—she had no fear of falling. Hu Liena, however, was different. Her spirit, the Demon Fox, lacked any flying ability. A single misstep could mean death.
Hu Liena was the first to cave.
She quickly untied her belt, shrugged off her coat, and revealed her underclothes.
Her inner attire was pink. A tight pink vest clung to her upper body, covering just the essentials. On her lower body, she wore pink shorts that hugged her thighs.
Once her outer coat came off, Hu Liena's alluring figure was fully exposed.
Her skin was fair and radiant. Under the dim red glow of the Soul Abyss, she looked even more seductive. With a slender waist and modest curves, she wasn't as voluptuous as Zhu Zhuqing, but she was alluring in a more refined way.
As a Demon Fox spirit user, her strongest trait was charm. And even without activating her spirit abilities, her near-perfect figure was already enough to tempt.
She'd compromised.
But Qian Renxue hadn't—she could fly, after all.
Hu Liena shot Ye Feng a sharp look, trying to keep her tone steady. "What are you staring at? Hurry up and take off your coat."
"Ahem." Ye Feng cleared his throat and replied, "Your clothes are already enough. If we're spaced too far apart, the rope becomes an easy target."
Hu Liena blinked, then glared at Ye Feng in frustration.
Rip—
The sound of tearing fabric echoed.
Hu Liena immediately regretted it. But it was too late. Ning Rongrong had already shredded her coat into strips and twisted them into ropes. Even if Hu Liena wanted to back out now, she couldn't.
With Ning Rongrong and Ye Lingling's combined effort, their clothes—along with Hu Liena's—had been woven into a 15-meter rope, which they tied around each other's waists. Ye Feng, being the strongest among them, took up the rear. Qian Renxue remained aloof, refusing to tie herself in.
And so, Ye Feng, Ye Lingling, Hu Liena, Ning Rongrong, and Qian Renxue set out on the infamous Hell Road—a name that sent shivers down spines.
Ye Feng walked at the back, glancing at the beauties in front of him and nodding with satisfaction. "Mmm, not bad, not bad—top-tier waifus, all three of them."
Ye Lingling, Ning Rongrong, Hu Liena—each of them had goddess-level figures. Ye Feng never thought the legendary Hell Road would be such a lucky break—like a paradise of eye candy.
Well, except for Qian Renxue. She hadn't "joined the fun."
Ye Feng let his thoughts wander as he walked. A wicked idea floated into his mind: If I could get those three alone in a room… close the door… hehehe… that'd be heaven.
"Strange. We're obviously climbing up, but why does it feel like it's getting hotter?" Hu Liena suddenly asked, confused.
"If I'm not mistaken," Qian Renxue replied calmly, "we're getting close to the Soul Abyss below."
"No way. I didn't feel a slope at all!" Ning Rongrong exclaimed in disbelief.
"That's because the incline is too shallow. It's hard to notice. But the rising heat in the air is the best evidence—we're approaching the Soul Abyss," Qian Renxue said.
"Hmm… that does make sense," Ning Rongrong nodded, staring curiously at Qian Renxue ahead of her.
"What's wrong?" Qian Renxue turned and glanced at her, noticing the strange look in Ning Rongrong's eyes.
"I don't know why… but you give off a very familiar aura," Ning Rongrong murmured.
"A familiar aura?" Qian Renxue paused and turned back toward her again.
"Yes. It's like… I've known you for a long time. Like we were close once," Ning Rongrong said, her voice soft and sincere.
Well!
Qian Renxue was startled.
Why would Ning Rongrong sense that from her?
The answer was simple. She had once disguised herself as Xue Qinghe. Every gesture, every word—she had imitated him perfectly.
Now, thanks to Ye Feng, she'd been forced to abandon that disguise early. But habits, speech patterns, mannerisms—those things don't vanish overnight. Over time, they become part of you.
Though she was Qian Renxue once more, the remnants of Xue Qinghe's personality still lingered. They surfaced without her realizing it.
Well!
Ye Feng, walking in the back, halted after hearing Ning Rongrong's words.
At this point, other than Ye Feng, even Hu Liena didn't know Qian Renxue's former identity.
Qian Renxue began to recall all her memories with Ning Rongrong. People aren't made of stone—how could they not have feelings?
Right now, fear gripped her. She was terrified that the beautiful things she'd once had would be shattered.
Her eyes slowly turned toward Ye Feng at the back of the group. In that moment, she finally understood—he had truly meant well when he persuaded her to give up the disguise.
