Chapter 146 - The abominable popsicle

From a distance, I watched the two of them clash.

The exchange of their blows created countless shockwaves and physical destruction powered by sheer kinetic force. But unlike before, I had no intention of simply observing or letting this fight drag on.

So, I summoned my best weapon for giants like this. A green smoke appeared, and soon my divine weapon—Wook of the Black Constellation—materialized.

I channeled both internal and mental energy into it, causing it to glow with a divine and ancient light.

My eyes gleamed with mental power, and together with my Haki of Vision, I meticulously analyzed the battle, searching for an opening.

At that moment, I saw both opponents clap their hands, sending out shockwaves that collided and canceled each other out.

As they staggered slightly and sized each other up, I decided it was my moment.

I teleported in front of the Abomination and struck him in the face. He became even more disoriented, partly due to the mental attack component of Wook.

Without delay, I used my Soul Energy and strength-based energy to hurl his body into the air, then threw my weapon at him.

His body was launched high.

"Apparate."

I shifted through space and reappeared above him. My weapon returned to my side and quickly expanded, enveloping his entire body. With a simple command—

Wook smashed him to the ground.

Dust and smoke filled the air. I rained down blows with my weapon repeatedly. Honestly, smashing an enemy like that was... fun.

Once I noticed he was significantly weakened and his mental energy had been affected, I descended gently.

"Hulk, hold him." I asked my green friend.

"Hulk understands," he replied and gripped the body tightly.

This type of enemy has high resilience and regeneration. I'd need to hit harder or use soul-based or mental attacks to ensure he stayed down.

With him impaired, I pulled out a large scroll from my storage—one I always keep prepared.

It floated in the air under my control.

My right hand formed multiple seals while my left manipulated runes and witchcraft spells inspired by Harry Potter.

I moved in synchrony. The scroll burned into bluish-black flames, wrapping around the enemy. It wasn't destructive fire, but as it engulfed him, symbols and incantations enveloped his body.

Most notable was a mark on his forehead, affecting his mental energy and placing him in a strong illusion—a sealed dream state.

The rest of the markings appeared across his body and soon became invisible, undetectable to anyone without knowledge of magic, witchcraft, or similar arts. I did this deliberately, preventing others—especially military types—from studying or replicating it. Even if they tried, progress would likely take decades due to their lack of foundational knowledge.

Next, I added another layer of containment. Both of my hands touched him.

Crystalline blue ice surrounded him like blooming frozen roses, forming a beautiful block of ice—almost like artwork.

Those with sensory abilities might see that the seals merged into the ice, strengthening it and concealing the subject within.

I smiled with satisfaction. I had merged fuinjutsu and jujutsu techniques from Naruto with my own ice magic and witchcraft.

In its current state, the ice wouldn't be easily broken—especially from the inside. The sealing effect was greatly enhanced. If the ice was shattered, the sealing would weaken, but even then, the target would remain unconscious for several hours.

Of course, I didn't fully understand the nature or limits of his Gamma energy, but I doubted it was enough to break through this setup immediately.

"All individuals below, do not move. Surrender for capture."

A military voice came from the approaching vehicles. I looked indifferently at the helicopters and military trucks surrounding me.

Hulk, however, growled and prepared to fight.

"Calm down, my friend," I said to soothe him.

I pulled out a small paper and wrote a short note on it with my wand, then stuck it to the ice block.

Satisfied, I grabbed Hulk's arm and placed a finger to my forehead.

The military forces were advancing aggressively.

"Please take care of this individual. As for us, we're going on a trip—maybe grab a sweet pastry or something."

I used my Tuning Voice to amplify the message across several meters.

Then, I used Kai Kai and teleported us far away.

Thunderbolt Ross POV

I quickly got out of the military vehicle and approached the block of ice.

Seeing Hulk and that mysterious man vanish into thin air infuriated me.

I'd already ordered my subordinates to scan for any sign of them, but it seemed they had simply disappeared.

"What should we do, General?" one subordinate asked.

After a few moments of thought, I replied,

"Send some troops to sweep the city and look for any trace of them. But our priority is securing this enemy and transporting him to the base."

I approached the ice block and noticed a small note attached. I read it.

The handwriting seemed deliberately disguised, untraceable to any individual.

"This ice is currently sealing the target.

With it, he should remain contained for at least a few days.

However, if broken, he may awaken within a few hours or days. This is an estimate.

I still recommend further restraints.

If you attempt to deeply analyze the ice, it will self-destruct.

Hugs~~

—The Lost Nomad"

The signature was clearly meant to mock or amuse.

I wasn't sure how much of the information was true, but either way, I already planned to take the enemy to a high-security facility.

I also intended to analyze the note. But before I could, it caught fire and disintegrated in my hand.

I narrowed my eyes, annoyed.

"Secure him and take him to Facility Z-21," I ordered coldly, despite my frustration.

Third POV

Somewhere in the Sahara Desert, Africa.

Two beings appeared in a remote area.

One was a towering green monster of a man, the other a figure shrouded in mist, dressed entirely in black.

Upon arrival, the man sat in a meditative posture after seemingly asking the green giant for a short rest break.
