Once Kevin and Aurelia had left, the villa was once again just theirs.
Sofia Hamilton finished up the work in her hands and headed upstairs, when she heard Lena's voice.
Guided by the sound, she walked over and stood at the door. Through the slightly ajar door, she saw a picture-perfect scene.
Ryan Gregory was sitting next to Lena, holding her hand, teaching her to draw.
Wilson, meanwhile, had one hand propped against his cheek and was using the other to swipe across the screen of his tablet, sitting on Ryan's other side.
Watching him interact so harmoniously with the two children, Sofia felt a surge of emotion.
After all, they were bonded by blood...
That familial affection, thicker than water, was a kind of invisible connection.
Still, the kids hadn't changed the way they addressed him yet.
Sofia frowned, wondering when she should tell the two little ones.
She was afraid it might be too sudden for them to handle.
But reality proved her concerns unnecessary.
