Walking out of his house in the morning, Chiba sensed the confusion and wonder that filled the people around him as he expanded his observation Haki to find multiple papers throughout the village.

Chiba had a look of understanding as he realized why the people were so lively, but even the people knew it wasn't much of an election for them. Every time that the current Hokage elected his candidate, they would become the next Hokage without fail.
Using his cane to support his weight on his healing leg, Chiba walked over to the house of the man who would become the next Hokage and knocked.
Opening door was a beautiful red haired women who was in her early twenties, a book in one hand a popsicle in the other.
"Ah my wonderful disciple, your finally back! I thought you'd forgotten about our promise." Kushina said lively as she beckoned Chiba forward.
"Sorry, the war made me too preoccupied" Chiba casually said, accidentally causing a guilty feeling to resurge through Kushina.
As the Jinchuriki, she couldn't even exit the village and definitely not enter the war, so to see a child as young as Chiba come back with injuries made her feel terribly useless.
"I see...Sit down and show me your progress before I teach you anything else." Kushina said as she bit into the popsicle to focus on the seals, only to cause a groan from her sensitive teeth.
Chiba bitterly smiled at the woman's childish antics, it was rare to see a ninja so cheerful and friendly but it also reminded him of the problem with this world. Kushina was officially a Jonin ninja but has never been on an official mission or even killed another human, allowing her to retain her childish side.
Chiba couldn't help but imagine how many more childish and friendly people would be in this world if it wasnt so constantly full of grief and suffering.
'This world isn't a cartoon, every "mob character" has their own life where they too feel pain and suffering. All of those mist ninja i murdered surely have a family thats grieving their death right now....After I save my clan, I'll try to make this world a better place but in order to do that, I'll need power!'
When thinking about this desire, Chiba believed that Fujitora's memories as a Marine was what made him have such a desire, not realizing that he had come to that desire of peace irregardless of his templates memories.
Pulling out a talisman like piece of paper, Chiba activated his observation Haki and focused all of his concentration on the small paper. Picking up his brush, Chiba started to control his chakra and pour it into the brush as he began to draw.
Thanks to his rather small chakra reserve with him still being a child, Chiba had very good chakra control that allowed him to do this with ease.
Despite this only being an Explosion tag, one of the weakest seals that a person could make, sweat was pouring off of Chiba as he didn't slack off for a moment under his Master's watchfull gaze.
Looking at her new student, Kushina was surprised at how well the boy was writing and how fine tuned his chakra output was, causing the red haired woman to feel a little worried.
'I saw how untalented the boy was when he first started his sealing training, not even able to write any kanji. The main reason I confidently made the deal with him was because I thought it would take him a decade of training just reach the base requirments needed to learn my clans signature seals' Kushina lightly bite his thumb in slight annoyance
'At the rate he's going, im gonna have to fork over my clans Fuinjutsu to him in just a few years....Hmmmmm whatever... I made the deal so I'll stick to it. As long as he truly helps the relationship between the Uchiha clan and the village, I'll continue to teach him.'
While Kushina didn't particularly like the idea of spreading her clans Fuinjutsu to someone from a different clan, she did like the idea of having a student that could carry her clans Fuinjutsu in case she or Minato died.
She would've prefered her student be a civilian ninja who was not born from any clan but she also didnt mind having an Uchiha student, it would give an excuse to Visit Mikoto more in the Uchiha sector of the village.
Since her husband was the next Hokage of the strongest village in the world, Kushina knew that she and her family would be targeted by other villages and even other Konoha officials that seek the Hokage title.
Teaching Chiba her clans technique will keeping it alive if something should happen to her family. Plus with Minato being the next Hokage, Chiba wouldn't dare spread the uzumaki clans Fuinjutsu to others.
Wiping the sweat off of his brow, Chiba felt his head throb after concentrating that hard, Kushina reached forward and picked up the still wet Explosion tag. The tag looked like an art piece as the immaculate pitch black writing was a perfect contrast to the red boarder of the tag.
"This is very good, nearly perfect! If I had to make a rough estimation, this tag is akin to a C- ranked jutsu. I guess it's time to teach you another two more Fuinjutsu to learn." Kushina said as she carefully set Chiba's tag to the side in order to dry and took out two small books.
"The first is the Storage seal that is very commonly used by every village to store small items and the second is the Warding Barrier seal, a Fuinjutsu that is a Konoha exclusive. Do you have any questions before we start?" Kushina said as her goofy atmosphere had disappeared and a strict appearance took its place.
"I have a question sensei! If there was a creature that was size of an island and was impossibly huge, could that creature also be sealed?" Chiba said as he wanted to know how he should be tackle Genbu.
".....For a creature of that enormous size, no single Fuinjutsu could seal it. You'd have to devise a sealing array made up of dozens to hundreds of seals arranged on the creature body to seal the animal into a suitable vessel capable of withstanding it. An adamantine pot would be best to use for the vessel." Kushina said, unknowniningly teaching Chiba how to seal the largest being in the world, genbu.
"I see..."
With a nod from Chiba, Kushina went on to explain how to perfom the next seals as Chiba activated his Observation Haki and intensely stared at her hand movement and the way her chakra flowed, burning them to memories.
