An example of such a situation was how the birthplace of Sloane may have had some connections to the outside world, but they mostly had to manage on their own without the Balancer Association being within their reach if they needed help.
If there had been such a branch nearby, then a lot of things would not have happened at that location, and many things could probably have been prevented.
One of those things that could have been prevented might have been Sloane's mother becoming injured in battle.
Another thing that could have been changed was that someone like Sloane would not have had to join in with the efforts of the other Balancers to deal with the Spirits around his birthplace from such a young age.
