If Divine, any member of the Breakers, or anybody who knew his usual behaviour saw what he did to Amy, they would surprised because it was not usually his style to embarrass somebody in a fight or make an individual feel so powerless.
He had no reason to expose a fraction of his prowess in that manner because all he had to do to pass the test was to 'survive' Amy's attacks.
He could have decided to make himself seem weaker.
No.
He already made himself seem weaker.
He could have decided to put on an act where he would struggle to defend, parry, and counter Amy's attacks.
He could have even decided to lose on purpose.
He could have even used an illusion to make it seem like he was fighting with all he had against Amy.
He could have done more, but he decided to teach and humiliate Amy with nothing pure skill and technique for two reasons.
One- she was too weak, and this made him uncomfortable and extremely disappointed.
