" I had already prepared something nice for you and I kept it hot until you came back". His voice, his thoughts, his feelings was always her weakness.
Why couldn't she resist this, resist him. She looked at him and he looked really calm and loving. " Was that why you left early?" She asked him with a low voice and he nodded slightly.
It ached, her heart once again ached for him. She walked over to him. "Let's go". Alvah knew damn well Zillah was avoiding him but he would never let that last a day.
When they got to the room, she saw a little set up on the bed in case she was injured. He set a dinner in bed for her with some little candles to light and warm up the room creating a cozy and warm air for her return.
Because she was always late and it would be cold. He held her by the shoulders " are you cold?" She shivered at his touch which he noticed. She nodded.
" Come" he held her walking to the window, he closed them shut. " Sit" he said. She climbed onto the bed sitting, her mouth watery from the food.
She wondered how he was such a good cook and she couldn't even place a pot on the stove.
He sat on the edge looking at her. He placed his hands on her cheeks and she leaned back a bit. This hurt him, he hated whenever she was irritated by his touch it made him feel worthless to sit next to her.
With no further attempts, he smiled faintly picking up the vegetable soup, he fed her. The other bowl was a chicken soup. He knew she was doing hardwork and he picked out foods with nutrients and less carbs so she would not be heavy.
She noticed this and just smiled at him lovingly. He noticed her smile and quickly spoke " I'm sorry if I got you angry in any way or that I slept off before you returned last night". His voice was sad as he managed to maintain eye contact for some reason.
She looked at him unending. He was apologizing for what he had no idea he did wrong of. "What good did I do in this life to deserve you" she cried. He moved closer to her hugging her, saying " You cry a lot you know that". She didn't care she hugged him back.
" I would keep doing this for you when you return from your training as long as I am around ". She pulled her head away from his chest looking at him with a little smile. She quickly recalled the reason why she was annoyed at him and she pulled away.
" Did I do something wrong?" He quickly asked knowing he was craving her hugs and kisses but she gave non of that. She just nodded without saying a word. He knew something was wrong but he couldn't tell. Now he wishes he had the power to read minds.
He nodded back at her, picking up the spoon, he attempted to feed her but she stopped him taking the spoon from his hands to feed herself. This he could not take anymore.
" What did I do wrong Zillah please tell me?" He begged his voice almost a crack. She dropped the spoon picking up the bowl to drink from it if he wasn't going to let her feed herself.
Alvah brushed his hands through his hair, tugging it hardly like he was going insane.
" You love it when I'm like this don't you?" She could hear the rage in his voice almost immediately like he had had enough of her.
" I've also had enough of you hiding things from me". He made eye contact with her. " Incompetent" she said and his eyes widened at her words.
" What?!" She lifted her shoulders. " Surprised?" She asked her eyes throwing daggers at him. " You heard the ..."
" I heard the conversation Alvah, I heard it!. What do you think you are Soo secretive like you have been or you are. What more have you both said behind my back". Her voice raising at him by the second.
" Then you shun me off training like you will always be there when in reality, you could turn against Elysian if you don't choose to convert and I will be an incompetent Alvah's shadow, whose partner promised to protect her". She stated promise in quote.
His eyes almost teary but wasn't, he looked away from her while she was yelling at him and replied. " I just want to spend time with you Zillah". He got up from the bed.
" Chances are high I would not be the same when I leave here" he looked back at her. " I'm only trying to make up our stay together for my absence before and after".
" This this is it!" she yelled angrily hearing his words that managed to sting her deeply. " She got down from the bed hitting his chest. " This is the reason why I despise creating moments with you, being intimate with you, spending time with you, depending on you because in the end you'll leave me"
Her voice cracked seriously her hands pounding on his chest, she was weak and heavy in her heart she couldn't take the pain anymore.
" Just live in the moment Zillah really. We both knew what it meant the very day we found out we were partners it was never going to be easy". He explained also holding onto his last thoughts to be strong and not lose hope.
" Then just choose a side it's not that hard". She said looking him in the eyes. " Don't go back ".
" I am an Infernal. You think they won't come looking for me ?" He questioned her his eyes widened. " You have no idea what Tartarus is neither you nor the others. You all don't train no practice, your trainings aren't severe enough ".
" The Infernals train every second. You have no idea how strong they have become within the past months "
