Chapter 22: The Special Boss and the World Beyond
Drake and his Pokémon were resting on the stairway of Floor 16. Much had changed since their grueling battles through the middle floors. Now, six Pokémon sat around him:
Pidgeot (Lv. 50)
Staraptor (Lv. 50)
Infernape (Lv. 46)
Gardevoir (Lv. 38)
Garchomp (Lv. 37)
And the newest addition — Greninja (Lv. 36).
Drake smirked and looked at them. "So, guys, how do you feel? Ready for this so-called special boss?"
All his Pokémon nodded and smiled, munching happily on huge piles of crystals.
Drake's body had transformed significantly over countless battles. Standing tall at 2.2 meters, he now had a tiger-like face, covered in sleek white fur, with a long black-and-white striped tail swishing behind him. Powerful paws and muscular legs supported his frame — he looked like a fierce tiger standing upright.
He smiled, recalling the last boss whose defeat had triggered his evolution. Feeling stronger, more flexible, and far more powerful, he opened his status window and smirked.

"Alright, everyone, since you've finished eating, let's see what kind of boss the dungeon has prepared for us. Remember the formation — let's get this done."
With that, the party rose and moved swiftly down the stairs into a massive, crystal-like chamber.
Deep underground, a gigantic black figure stirred from slumber. One enormous eye with a snake-like pupil slowly opened.
"So, the annoying pest has entered my domain. I will show you my power and control over this space."
A deafening ROOOOAAAARRRR echoed throughout the dungeon, shaking the ground all the way to the surface.
Drake's expression hardened as he muttered, "Yeah, this will be fun."
The ground rumbled violently as a gigantic figure was pushed from one of the crystal walls.
Drake's tiger-like visage twisted in disbelief. "You've got to be kidding me… How is this possible?"
The massive figure stood tall — a colossal, blue titan made entirely of solid Antarctic ice. Its angular, crystal-like body shimmered coldly, its face marked with seven yellow dots arranged in a plus sign. Four sharp spikes jutted from its back, and it balanced its whole bulk on conical legs that ended in points. Each pentagonal arm had three clawed fingers.

Drake was dumbfounded. "A Pokémon as the boss? How the hell did it get here? This fucking place… If I get the chance, I'll rip it to shreds."
"Pidgeot, Staraptor, unleash all the air blasts you can! Garchomp, use Dragon Rush — try to break its defense! Infernape, draw its attention with Close Combat! Gardevoir, keep it pinned down with Psybeam and Psychic! Greninja, fire Water Shurikens nonstop!"
The Pokémon launched into battle immediately as Drake withdrew Yoru from his inventory. The black blade gleamed in his hand.
He charged forward and swung with all his might, but before the strike could land, a figure flew past him.
Drake turned — Infernape had slammed into the wall, injured but still conscious.
"Infernape, hold on! We can do this!"
Explosions shook the chamber as the battle intensified. REGICE countered fiercely with Blizzard and Ice Beam attacks.
Without hesitation, Drake slashed Yoru, releasing a massive sword beam that slammed into REGICE, pushing it back.
Watching the ice titan stagger, Drake made a decision. He focused deeply, drawing in vast amounts of air to combine with his magical energy. Red-hot energy began to glow in his throat.
Eyes blazing, Drake roared, "Take this! Hope you enjoy your warm bath — MAGMA DRAGON'S ROAR!"
A fierce stream of molten magma blasted from his mouth, hitting REGICE directly. Steam and heat erupted everywhere.
All his Pokémon regrouped beside him, eyes fixed on the dissipating mist.
When the steam cleared, all that remained was a small pool of water and a strange, transparent stone with green swirling inside.
Drake approached and picked it up, stunned.
"This… this is a Mega Stone? But whose?"
Suddenly, a large, smiling green figure appeared beside him, eyes fixed on the stone.
Drake turned to Gardevoir and asked, "Do you feel connected to this?"
She nodded vigorously.
Then a DING echoed in Drake's mind.

Drake stared at the notification, wide-eyed and silent for a moment. Then he nodded firmly.
"System, accept the special quest. Let's see what this new world has to offer."

A brilliant light enveloped Drake and his Pokémon. Within seconds, they vanished completely
