Chapter 94 - Halberd

The knight gave his orders, and galloped forward. The lords looked at each other and heaved a sigh.

"Babur should not have been allowed to go first in his quickness." "How can so coincidentally, do they at this time, there are people outside patrol not?" "Maybe it was just some blind fool. You see, there aren't any monsters around, and the farmers probably come and go a lot." "I didn't see any monsters, it seems the mouth of the Vale is a really good area..."

In the course of this conversation the horses under the lords had gathered pace.

The road ahead came into view, and the figures of some riders on their horses, who were wandering about on the road at the edge of the field, came into view.

Lord Garvey recognized the blackened Baron Babur on the horse at once. And the horsemen hovering near him seemed to be frightened.

In front of them there was a line drawn across the road, and beyond it on the ground there was a pool of blood and the body of a headless horse lying on the ground.

The knight was pressed to the ground by the horse, and his head and shoulder seemed to have been cut off by a knife.

Two other fallen knights were clutching their bellies and screaming, and their chests were disfigured, torn from them by the blows of something.

"You are too proud! Babur's moustache trembled with anger, but the ever bad-tempered Lord reined in his horse and dared not cross the line on the ground.

Evidently, opposite him, there seemed to be someone more irritable than himself.

On a great horse, the man's chest was already above Babur's head. And the dozen knights at his side, headed by a moustached man with a broken spear in his hand, looked perturbed as they passed.

But what was incredible was that, at the mere mention of a word of displeasure, the horrid knight, with a bull's eye, galloped forward, picked up the bloody and grotesque-looking weapon, and was about to cut it over his head!

The murderous momentum of this incongruous action filled Babur's soul. The steed under him seemed to feel his master's fear, gave a whine, lifted up its hoofs, and nearly threw him off.

"Stop it!! Baron Garvey's scalp exploded at the sight!

He wondered if he was dreaming! He could never guess what had caused such an unexpected situation!

But his shout had no effect, for the horrid knight, without stopping, had run at Babur!

Lucky!!!!!

Baron Babur was not there to die; his steed, hoof raised, and without turning round, under command, with his master, rushed confounded into the flank mist.

The knights were stunned, not knowing whether to follow their master or hold their ground for a while to buy their Lord time. But they could not help shaking their hands as they held the weapons, and the horses were crowing and reclining.

Perhaps by the blessing of the god of protection, the fearsome knight at last reined in his horse and stopped at the line. He looked at Baron Babur's receding back, spat disdainfully on the ground, then pointed at Baron Garvey, and said, with wide eyes, "Who are you? Coming over too?"

"Sir Alexander." Baron Garvey's face was livery-livered. He pressed his mouth together and waved his hand, telling the nervous soldiers to send their bows and arrows to the ground before there was further conflict.

Then he blurted out the words between his teeth: "What the hell is going on here? !"

But the message went unanswered. As if he had not heard him, the tall knight glanced across at the growing number of soldiers in the fog and snorted, "A flock of cowardly cowards." He rode his horse back to his original position.

"I want to see His Grace!!" Lord Garvey's eyes darted open at his canthus. "He must explain!!" he growled angrily.

"My Lord has gone to the city of the windy."

Baron Garvey looked forward along the sound and saw the knight named Martin.

He was pulling out his ears, and the unbridled look in his eyes made the chests of the lords explode. However, his next words seemed to be a basin of cold water suddenly poured over them, which made the lords calm down in the midst of indescribable surprise.

"And as you might have expected, you foolish traitors are trying to get out of the grain."

"Out of the valley??" The lords behind Baron Garvey stared at one another.

From the look in each other's eyes, they seem to be quietly, caught what great information.

"Death to those who step on this line!!" Suddenly there was a deafening sound, like the soaring roar of a giant!

The horses of several knights in front of them neighed, and their pale faces strangled the shuffling hoofs, but one of them suddenly fell off his horse and fell to the ground.

The horse, having shaken off its master, dashed off like a mad man, and disappeared into the mist, never to be seen again.

There was a sudden gasp of panic from the crowd on the Lord's side, and some of the soldiers, pale and limp in the field, did not even notice that their bows and arrows had dropped to the ground.

At that moment they suddenly felt that they were facing not an enemy, but a legion!

They could not help but panic looked around the fog, but found in horror, there seems to have been something in the fog back and forth, constantly came the footsteps and rustle rustle sound, which intensified their heart panic.

"The big... My Lord!" Carroll unconsciously clutched Baron Garvey's robe, and several of the lords looked at him helplessly. Their eyes glazed over and their minds were a mess!

-- What's going on? !

"Risking a giant attack, Sir Alexander, we have brought you what you need. We have come here by agreement. And this is how you treat people? !" Baron Garvey asked loudly and his face was livid, and his voice sounded more like a suppressed rage than a panic.

And this grandeur, whether it was made up or not, certainly calmed the confused minds of the lords.

That's right! They come with a reason. Even the unreasonable papal lords must obey the order, right? !

And there are so many of them! Anger should be their own right!

But what Alexander said next left them stunned again.

"Attack? Isn't that stupid thing's head hanging on the wall? And giants?" Alexander stood still for a moment. He scratched his face and looked at Martin. "They said they were bringing food."

The lords had seen, at their last meeting, that a string was missing from the brain of the knight, who looked so fierce.

But the words of this fool came through their ears clearly.

It was true that fools do not deceive, and they had not heard of the giant for some time.

Though there had been some speculation at the sight of the situation, there was a collective gasp.

They looked at each other and could no longer contain the fear in their eyes.

The first thing these knights did when they came here was to kill the giant.

They don't know how many men it took to straighten out the Golon, cut off his head, and hang it on the wall.

But the giant could kill a thousand of them...
