"Hey," Shen Yi Nian spoke as the phone call was connected. "Li Jun Xuan, are you there?"
"Mhm…" Li Jun Xuan frowned, noticing that his girlfriend's voice sounded a little strange. "You're awake? Didn't you say that you wanted to take a nap?"
"I just woke up."
There was a long silence between them.
All they could hear was the sound of each other's breathing.
Li Jun Xuan wanted to wait for Shen Yi Nian to speak first. Meanwhile, Shen Yi Nian did not know what she should say to her boyfriend. She did not think much when she decided to call him earlier.
"Shen Yi Nian?" Li Jun Xuan finally broke the silence between them. "Are you alright?"
Her lashes fluttered. Shen Yi Nian opened her mouth to speak but the words she wanted to say seemed to be stuck in her throat. Not wanting to let her boyfriend worry, Shen Yi Nian quickly answered. "Yeah."
Li Jun Xuan heaved in relief when he heard Shen Yi Nian's voice again. "Did you have a good sleep?"
