Qu Tan'er arrived from Snow Courtyard and saw Qu Pan'er, sitting in the host seat, being served tea by a maid. So, she graciously offered a salute to Qu Pan'er and did not wait for any instructions but instead sat down on the other side. A guest was a guest, after all. Surely, she did not expect to act like the Crown Princess Consort herself.
The maid also brought over some hot tea, a nourishing herbal blend that was safe for the fetus.
Qu Tan'er picked it up and took a light sip.
"Crown Princess Consort, I'm unaware of the purpose of your visit?"
"I heard you dismissed all the maidservants from Eighth Prince Manor. You are really overstepping your boundaries," Qu Pan'er said, her tone sour and unbalanced.
Qu Tan'er smiled calmly and countered, "Like any of us married as a concubine, household squabbles among the women are frequent. Aren't you used to it by now? Don't these things happen in the Crown Prince Manor as well?"
