And in the middle of it all… she stood.
Selene Veyr. Seventeen. Long Silver hair that shimmered like ink spilled on water. Pale, porcelain skin. A soft smile that hid a void deep enough to swallow gods.
Her eyes weren't human. Purple, glowing faintly, like twin moons staring straight into the truth.
She didn't speak. She didn't move. She simply imagined.
And the city obeyed.
Skyscrapers twisted into spirals, their steel frames screaming like living things. Cars dissolved into black dust. From the shattered asphalt, impossible creatures clawed their way out—faceless horrors made of fragmented thoughts and nightmare whispers.
People screamed. Selene tilted her head, as if curious about the sound.

Her voice was soft. Lethal.
The screams stopped. Not because the people calmed down. But because they simply ceased existing. Their shadows were the only things left, burning into the pavement like afterimages of a dying sun.
Far above, jets roared in, missiles locked on her position. She didn't even look. She just… thought.
The missiles turned into flocks of crystal birds mid-flight, their wings singing a melody no human could bear to hear. The jets twisted into ribbons of metal and flesh.
