Chapter 1 - The Prodigy's Path

Hi there, before you read Ch. 1. I would suggest that you read the prologue if you missed it because it will reveal how overpowered the MC is and why he is reincarnated in the first place. Happy reading!

Inside a massive kingdom, the training room, to be exact. A young boy, no more than 8 years old, was seen brandishing a sword and swinging it quickly and wildly whilst gracefully moving. There was another person behind him, wearing formal clothes. His eyes were widened.

'Amazing…at just 8 years old Master Lucius has already mastered the first volume of Ashleigh's swordsmanship!'

'I'm a martial master myself, but never in my 20 years of working here would I see someone that showcases such supreme talent..'

Lucius stopped swinging his wooden sword. He doesn't look tired even in the slightest.

'Maxxed out Talent really does help. I just turned 8 a few days ago and already mastered such an advanced technique!'

He smiled whilst clenching his fists.

'With maxed-out Genetics, and being born in the strongest Empire. Defeating this monstrous entity should be a breeze!'

The man with formal clothes approached Lucius. Lucius gazed at him.

"Young Master Lucius, Your Majesty wants to meet you."

Lucius took a sip of water and changed into more formal attire.

'As expected with such an achievement, even the Tyrant would want to meet even the lowliest of peasants.'

"Would you mind escorting me to the throne room, Baron?"

"A-ah, sure, Young Master!'"

Both of them walked out of the training room and walked along the corridor. Baron then gazed at Lucius whilst walking, sweating intensely.

'Am I getting scared of a boy..?'

'He is the Tyrant's son, but he's still a boy, and I'm a martial master! So, why can't I measure his skills?'

Lucius then gazed at Baron, his expression filled with curiosity.

"Is there a problem, Baron?"

Baron quickly looked away from Lucius.

"I—it's nothing, Young Master! Just some problems an old man like me would think about."

Lucius looked forward once again, somewhat annoyed.

'As expected, why did I think I could hide such a strong presence from a martial master?'

'And it seems like Baron's got the wrong idea. I haven't surpassed him yet; the stronger your presence, the bigger your potential.'

'But it's alright; this world only discovered that tens of years later.'

He grinned, amused.

'Well, in any case, I could use my presence as a bargaining tool later along this life.'

They both came to a halt in front of the throne room's entrance.

"The entrance is here, Young Master."

Lucius smiled as he turned to face Baron.

"Thank you, Baron! As always, you are reliable!"

As Lucius entered and closed the door, Baron sighed, all his worries disappearing, and his sweat? It's all gone.

'How ironic, everything disappeared when Young Master entered the throne room.'

Baron then walked back to the training room.

As Lucius entered the throne room, he felt an aura from all directions. He grinned, unfazed by the aura as he walked through it.

'Everyone in this room has an aura; aura is your actual strength and is only achievable once you reached your max potential.'

He then fought the aura of the guards using his presence. The King himself was somewhat surprised that the aura of all the guards in the throne room, who are all martial masters at minimum, got consumed by the boy's presence.

Lucius looked at the King menacingly, as if he were challenging him.

The king chuckled and unleashed all his aura.

Lucius smiled even more; his eyes widened.

'This is it! The aura of the pinnacle of humans!'

The king was surprised that the boy was unfazed but actually looked amused.

'There's still maniacs like him being born, huh?'

He grinned and concealed his aura.

"Lucius Ashleigh,"

Lucius kneeled on one knee, his head down.

"Yes, Your Majesty?"

"Do you find the arts of Ashleigh rather too second-rate?"

Lucius' eyes widened, not expecting such a question.

"Yes."

He gazed directly at the King, grinning.

"I do in fact find Ashleigh's techniques too inadequate."

All the guards surrounding the throne room were shocked by Lucius' answer. Whilst the King looked at him smiling, he was fond of him.

"Do you ever consider going to the Academy of Arcane Arts?"

"Since you are still the lowest rank amongst my children, you can't access more advanced techniques in the archives. Whilst if you join the Academy of Arcane Arts, you can learn anything from swordsmanship, martial arts, and even magic with mastery enough to even surpass your siblings and take my throne."

Lucius' eyes widened at the mention of Arcane Arts.

'I couldn't even fathom joining the Academy of Arcane Arts even in my previous life!'

He grinned broadly, which later faltered into a more serious expression. He then put his head down.

'But the Academy of Arcane Arts is the reason on how he became a powerhouse.'

'If I want to go to prevent that from happening, I need to convince him somehow before those events unfold!'

'But if I am even a second late, will I be able to defeat him?'

After a while, he raised his head, the King awaiting his response.

"I decided I will join the Academy of Arcane Arts."

The King smiled even more, amused by Lucius' decision.

"Wonderful decision; I'll send you out in two weeks."

"Thank you, Your Majesty."

He stood up, walking away.

"Wait up."

Lucius halted and looked at the King.

"Since I've grown quite fond of you, you may access the 2nd and 3rd volumes of Ashleigh's swordsmanship."

"It's not much, but those 2 volumes are essential for dominating in the academy."

Lucius bowed down to the King.

"Thank you, Your Majesty."

His grin was wider than ever as he bowed.

'The 2nd and 3rd volumes?! Even Martial Emperors yearn for those volumes; if you master those 2 volumes alone, your strength could increase twofold!'

"I will also give you access to the Basic Core Forging technique."

"If you master Ashleigh's Basic Core Forging technique, no one in Arcane Arts would be able to touch you."

The King smiled devilishly, as Lucius also smiled in a similar way.

"I will never forget this act of kindness."

He then left the throne room, shutting the door close.

The King chuckled before smiling yet again.

'A God in a mortal's body is now a prince of Ashleigh.'

He grinned maniacally.

'I'll be looking forward to your achievements, Lucius Ashleigh.'
