Chapter 5 - Chapter 5;

{This one's a little short. I'd ask the author to make a longer version but that's not possible at the moment}

I opened my mouth to scream, when the voice died in my throat.

Actually, I couldn't breathe. Couldn't think.

I looked down, to find his hand squeezing on the air, except the more he flexed, the more constricted my throat felt.

My hands clawed at my throat.

Nothing there.

I couldn't even cough. I could hear my own heartbeat in my head.

He couldn't possibly be the one doing this?

My doubts went down the drain when he lifted his arm and I was in the air, dangling from nothing in the middle of my living room.

This was not possible. Not real-

He eased up a little because I was able to take a gulp of air. Panic filled my entire system as I kicked and thrashed my weightless body to no avail.

He entered the house, bending in order to fit through the doorway, and my mind ran through fears it didn't know could be a possibility, as he stood to his full height.

He made the space look small. Mobius was in the corner, shaking like a leaf. I stopped thrashing as the huge thing set me down and almost immediately began sobbing.

God, I don't know what this is, please help me, I prayed earnestly, I'm sorry for not believing, I'm sorry-

"Are you praying?"

He asked, voice like gravel, and head tilted slightly to the side.

He smiled at me.

Smiled, while his eyes showed no expression. I realized that I was mumbling. And I didn't stop, begging for forgiveness, promising, hoping desperately.

He crouched, observing me as more tears poured from me. I didn't know I was capable of crying so shamelessly.

I pulled back when his hand reached out. It didn't prevent him from wiping a tear with his thumb.

"You poor thing," he said. "You're praying to the wrong god,"

"Pl-" I tried speaking, "Please leave-"

I took huge breaths, "Please, leave me alone,"

"But you called me, Anakin. You invited me," he said, his eyes locking my eyes in a golden cage, "And besides, you have something that belongs to me."

I shook my head. My breathing starting to return to normal even though my heart threatened to beat itself out of my chest.

"I didn't call you,"

I sobbed out.

He smiled again, and fear tore through me once more.

"Did you not?"

and the words came back to me, Break through the dark, and rise, set free... Come hollow crown.

Ohh God.

I started to cry again and the demon stood up, probably dismissing my entire unraveling as dramatics.

"I was beginning to think you'd never arrive,"

He said and I looked up in confusion.

But he wasn't talking to me. My eyes widened in shock as a little girl walked in through the door.

Not any little girl, but Kelly, Daniel's daughter. My brain short-circuited as I tried to figure out why and how she even got here. Why the demon had spoken to her. I stood up.

"Kelly?"

I spoke and she completely ignored me, sprinkling some kind of gravel on the ground.

"Kelly!"

I called again and she ignored me, now drawing on the ground.

"What have you done to her?"

I whispered.

The demon ignored me, observing what Kelly was doing. I reached out to grab her when the ground started shaking.

An earthquake?

I looked around to find Mobius gone and when I turned back, cracks had formed on my floor. I stumbled back as the ground shook more vigorously and light began to pour from the cracks. I finally blacked out as I lost grip on what was reality and what wasn't.
