Aurelia's POV
The morning air felt heavy as I glared at Natalie's fake tears. The cemetery's silence was broken only by Julian's ragged breathing as he recovered from the blow I'd delivered.
"This isn't over," I repeated, my voice stronger this time. "Not until you pay for what you did to my daughter."
Natalie's tearful façade didn't falter, but something cold flickered in her eyes.
"I understand you're grieving, Aurelia," she said, her voice dripping with false sympathy. "But these accusations won't bring Violet back."
The sound of my daughter's name on her lips ignited something primal within me.
"Don't you dare say her name," I snarled. "Not when you're the reason she's in that grave."
Julian stepped between us, his face pale from the exertion. "Aurelia, stop this. Natalie had nothing to do with Violet's death."
