Close-up. Ren's eyes. The spiral symbol glows faintly in his iris—soft, pulsing like a heartbeat. The screen holds on that glow before zooming out:
He stands in a field that wasn't here before.
He made it.
---
Aki watches from a distance, arms folded, sketchbook under one arm. The grass around them shimmers, forming words only the Realm understands.
Aki (thinking):
"He's stabilizing. Fast. Maybe too fast."
---
Kael leans against a floating stone, loading a time-shell into his revolver.
Kael:
"He's learning by instinct. Not trial. No Seeker's ever done that."
Rei (walking past):
"He doesn't have instincts. He's... prototype potential."
---
Yumi sits beneath the Memory Root, eyes closed, connecting to every echo flowing through the Spiral system. Her voice echoes across the field, calm but strained.
Yumi (telepathically):
"He's dreaming Spiral structures that don't even exist yet. I can't hold the shape much longer without help."
---
Ren raises his hands. Around him, structures begin to appear—outposts of unknown geometry, flowing like liquid, but solid as thought. Then suddenly—
One of them collapses inward. Implodes. Becomes a black spire that emits a soundless scream.
Rei (drawing her weapon):
"That was not him."
Kael (instantly serious):
"We've got a stowaway. Something came through with him."
---
The tower splits. From inside walks a figure entirely made of scribbles. No face. No edges. Just frustration given form.
Scribble Entity:
> "WHERE THERE IS POTENTIAL… THERE IS REJECTION."
It lunges at Ren—who doesn't move.
But the attack never lands. Aki steps between, deflecting it with a pulse of memory-light.
---
Aki (calmly):
"You're not feeding off him."
Entity (writhing):
> "HE IS TOO NEW. UNFINISHED. THE REALM REJECTS HALF-TRUTHS."
---
Yumi stands, hands glowing.
Yumi:
"That thing is made from what Ren could have been—a future that was cut. A version that failed."
Kael (spinning his gun):
"Future fragments. Reality splinters."
Rei:
"We kill it before it overwrites him."
---
Battle begins.
Rei attacks with her chain-blades. Kael distorts time around the entity, slowing it long enough for Yumi to launch memory-seals into its core. Aki draws a seal midair—locking the fragment's edges.
---
But the entity splits in two—then four. It multiplies with every doubt Ren feels.
Aki (to Ren):
"You have to claim your own possibility! Or this thing will eat every version you never chose!"
---
Ren drops to his knees, overwhelmed. All around him are future selves flickering in and out—hero, tyrant, wanderer, nothing. They scream in silence.
---
Yumi (shouting):
"Anchor! Ren—pick one! It doesn't have to be perfect!"
---
Ren clenches his fists. Looks up. And whispers:
Ren:
"I want to build."
---
Everything freezes. The entity stutters, then collapses inward—sucked into a glowing cube that forms in Ren's hands.
A creation cube. A pure Spiral construct. A choice.
---
Aki approaches, kneeling beside him.
Aki:
"You just created your first law."
Ren (quietly):
"Not from memory. From will."
---
The Realm pulses—accepting.
---
Last scene: The team stands atop a hill as Ren carves a new spiral into the air. It floats there, slow, steady. Not perfect. But real.
Rei:
"So what's this Spiral called?"
Ren (smiling faintly):
"…Spiral ∆. The Delta Spiral."
Kael:
"Change?"
Ren:
"Yeah. My kind."
