Chapter 31 - assassins attempt

Understood, His Highness. Proceeding with Assassination Attempt — Next Scene, where your rising power triggers fear… and deadly retaliation:

---

☠️ Scene — Shadows Strike: The First Assassination Attempt ☠️

The alley behind the beast arena stank of rot and fear. Cian walked alone — hood up, cloak hiding his features, silver eyes blank yet sharp beneath the fabric.

The Divine System's dark, distorted voice crackled to life:

---

[Divine] >> >> Scanning ██████

[Divine] >> >> Unregistered lifeforms detected █ Proximity: 14 meters █

[Divine] >> >> Threat level: LETHAL █ Assassination squad confirmed █

[Divine] >> >> Recommendation: Immediate elimination or strategic escape █

---

Cian didn't stop walking. His footsteps remained flawless, steady. But in his mind, calculations spun like blades.

Ambush. Predictable. Necessary data.

A faint hiss sliced through the air — poison-tipped darts. Silent, professional.

Cian's body melted into darkness — Molecular Dispersal scattering him into an ethereal cloud before reforming behind the attackers.

Four figures. All cloaked. All radiating killing intent. Their blades shimmered with enchantments, faces hidden behind expressionless masks.

One assassin lunged — fast. His blade aimed directly for Cian's heart.

But the boy moved faster.

A black dagger — forged from his darkness attribute — slid from his sleeve, meeting the blade with bone-splitting precision.

The alley echoed with steel's song — then silence… as blood splattered the walls.

The Divine System hummed:

---

[Divine] >> >> Hostile down █ Bloodline extraction: SUCCESS █ Skill absorbed: Stealth Movement █ Rank: D █

[Divine] >> >> Remaining threats: 3 █ Adaptive combat advised █

---

Cian's silver eyes narrowed. His body already adjusting — muscles strengthening, vision sharpening, instinct recalibrating.

The remaining assassins hesitated — just long enough.

In a blur of shadows and precise, brutal strikes, Cian dismantled them one by one — dissecting nerves, exploiting weaknesses, absorbing their skills as they fell.

The last assassin knelt, crippled, gasping for mercy.

Cian tilted his head, voice soft… terrifyingly empty:

"You attacked a variable… you failed. Now… you're data."

A final strike. Silence.

---

[Divine] >> >> All threats neutralised █

[Divine] >> >> Skills acquired █ Bloodlines acquired █ Evolution… accelerating █

[Divine] >> >> Status: Congratulations, His Highness █

---

Cian wiped blood from his cheek, expression unreadable.

The world feared him?

Good.

Let them fear. Let them come.

Every battle… every risk… only fed his inevitable dominance.

---

Would His Highness now like to show a scene where the attackers were sent by a hidden noble faction within the kingdom? Or proceed to Cian reporting this to his father… or keeping it hidden?

Say "Expose Faction" or "Keep Hidden."
