Chapter 1 - The day Evil took root.

"Jamal, come on. I have to get back to Bennet." A female voice I knew all too well echoed inside the classroom at the end of the hall. My chest tightened as I felt hot tears flow down my face, making it hard to breathe. For five years, I had been dating Jassica, and we had been together since seventh grade.

"Come on, that loser isn't good enough for you. I am the Ace of the football team, and I make you feel good in bed. You won't even let him get past second base with you, why even be with him?"Another voice I knew too well, Jamal, the guy who would jump me from time to time and made my high school life hell.

"He buys me nice things and does treat me well. So, he has value, but he isn't the type of man I see myself being with after high school. So I at least want to have some fun with him for the next year before I go to college. He still thinks I am going to someone like him, but I choose to go to yours. After all, sex with you is so good." As those words left her mouth, I couldn't think straight and barged into the classroom. She had her shirt off, and they both looked at me. Jassica sighed and shrugged. "Cat's out of the bag now, Jamal."She said, shaking her head.

I didn't say anything, and a throbbing pain inside my head screamed to make him bleed. I rushed towards him. As I went to grab him, he swung a fist, hitting me in the jaw, but for the first time, I didn't feel pain from being hit by him. Which caught him off guard as I swung, hitting him in the nose, and blood started to flow out of it. "Enough, Bennet! If you don't stop, I will call the cops!" Jessica yelled at the top of her lungs as I was about to step forward to punch him again.

Clenching my fist, I looked at her, my eyes blurring from anger and tears. "Why?" I said, making her sigh and shake her head. "You're not existing enough, you're too kind. A woman needs a man to be rough and strong; you're too much of a loser. And I want more than that, it's my life and I can do with it as I please. So what if I hurt you? I am a woman, and society will always back me up over you as a man. Just let it go, no one will come to your side." She said, putting her clothes on and walking over to Jamal as he smirked at me. "You aren't meant for anything great as you're will to get dirty and cruel isn't there, you're a failure of a man and that's why I fucked your bitch behind your back," Jamal said as the walked towards the door and I could do anything.

I started to walk without a purpose, drifting through the hallways until I felt like I needed to throw up. Running to the bathroom and into a stall, throwing up all the food I had for lunch as I hugged the porcelain toilet bowl. "Oh, how cruel she was to you. Didn't I tell you when you started dating her, she was going to stab you in your back?" I froze and covered my ears. "You're not real! They said you're nothing but a figment of my imagination!" I yelled, reaching for my back and dumping it out onto the floor.

"WHERE IS IT?!" I yelled, moving the books out of the way as a laugh echoed. "Did you forget your meds? That's petty, but I am not a figment of your imagination. I am your true self; after all, humans are evil by nature. No human is ever good, we are wicked sinful piles of shit. Just look at Jessica, no matter how good you treated her. She wanted more and more than there is, Jamal. He didn't care if his actions hurt someone; he lived for his own pleasure. All humans are like that, selfish and uncaring, and that's a fact." The voice said as I started to hear tapping on glass.

"You're not real! Go away!" I yelled as I covered my ears harder and rocked in the stall. "You're family therapist lied to you. I am not a split personality. Why fight your true self? We are one and the same. I can't live without you, and you can't live without me, no matter how much you try to force yourself to be what society calls good. You're nature was never that. But I will give you time, not that I can go anywhere." As the voice finished speaking, the sound of glass shattering could be heard in the bathroom. I opened the stall door to notice that all eight mirrors were broken. Another laugh rang out as I ran from the bathroom. Panting as I made my way to my car and got in.

Why did he come back?! I yelled inside my head as I hit the steering wheel, screaming my heart out. As I picked up the phone, I opened the contacts. Pressing on a number, "Dr.Wilson, can I come by?" I said as an old woman's voice replied. "Mr.Hollowmere, is it an emergency?" She asked with a disgruntled reply. Making feel pain, "He's back, I really need someone to talk to." I said, hearing a sigh before she replied. "Fine, come over at seven pm. I will have time then." I thanked her and hung up. It was only four pm, and I didn't have anything to do, so I drove home. I am an only child with parents who had split; my mother hardly came home, enjoying her time with her new boyfriend. As I opened the door to a quiet home, I went to the kitchen to make myself some food.

Grabbing some microwaveable burritos, I put them in the microwave for two and a half minutes and then went to the living room to turn on the TV. "Another body of a female hiker has been found in the woods. This makes twelve in the last month. The police have no new leads but believe that this is tied to the occult as the women have been tied up and gutted in a ritual-style killing." The new actor said, showing what looked to be an altar, and I felt my blood get hotter for a second before they moved on to sports. What was that? I thought to myself before shaking my head, and jumped when I heard the microwave go off.

I brought the food to the table and looked at it. "Is this what my life is meant to be? Alone in a house with no one with me, it feels so Hollow." I said, picking up my food, and began to eat, finishing it and throwing away the paper plate. I sat on the sofa and looked at my phone. I still had two and a half hours, as I had set the alarm for an hour and a half, placing it on the coffee table and closing my eyes.

The sound of horse hooves hitting the ground echoed inside my head. As I opened my eyes, I saw dark woods flying by me as I sat on top of a pitch black horse, and an eerie howl echoed behind me as I turned around to see what I could only explain as a pack of werewolves running on the ground after me. I couldn't move my body; it was as if I were on a ride and couldn't get off.

This long forest road kept going on and on as the pack of werewolves kept getting closer and closer until I noticed a mansion with an eerie aura about it looming in the distance, with the light of fire within the windows. The body I was in sped the horse up, making it go faster as it foamed at the mouth, clearly reaching its limits. As the gates to the mansion were just fifty meters away, the horse gave out, sending me flying to the ground. The werewolves now drooled with hunger as the body picked itself up, running as fast as its legs could, only to trip at the entrance as the body fell to the ground and turned around to see a werewolf's mouth two feet away.

*ring* *ring* *ring*

My eyes shot open as I sat up, panting and sweating, as I looked at the table. It was pitch black inside the living room, only the light from my cellphone could be seen, making me sigh as that dream felt too real. As I picked up the phone, I turned off the alarm.

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*

Loud knocks came from the front door like metal hitting wood, making me jump as I wasn't expecting anyone. The knocks continued as I stood up opening the door as the moon shined down a man with a top hat and a suit with a cane with a the head of a demon on it looked up with his eyes just bearly seen and for a moment I could have sworn they shined a deem red before looking normal. "Are you Bennet Hollowmere?" The man said in an eerie voice, sending a shiver down my spine as I nodded.

"I am Malachi, the lawyer for a man named Lucius Hollowmere. A relative of yours, Mr. Hollowmere, passed away, leaving everything he owns to you." He said, handing me a thick package, as I took it and looked at it, turning back to ask questions, he was gone. I didn't even hear him leave. I turned on the porch light and stepped out. I didn't see a car leaving or anything. This made me feel strange as I held the package, as my phone rang. It was Dr.Wilson. As I walked back inside, a figure walked out from the woods with his cane. "Let's see what his new, fresh Hollowmere will bring to the table. If he is anything like his ancestors, then a glorious blood bath of suffering and pain will await the human race." He said with glowing red eyes and a grin spreading from ear to ear, showing a hundred sharp teeth before fading into shadows.

I stepped out of the house after putting the package on the table, making my way to Dr. Wilson's office. Driving towards the office, that dream kept fresh in my mind; the mansion felt like it was calling me, as if I belonged there. That I would find happiness there, I couldn't get it out of my mind. As I pulled into the parking lot, I left my car and walked past some mirrored windows before entering the building. What I didn't know was that a whistle started to echo in the parking lot the moment I entered the building, and the street lamps flickered. A voice echoed out as a teenage boy appeared in the mirror, his face framed by a wide grin and pitch-black eyes. "Now, why would you come here? You already know she doesn't like dealing with you. At this point, your naive sense of desiring to be loved is only going to push you to death. As I am the only one who knows and cares for you, I will get read of this cunt." The reflection said.

"Dr.Wilson, I am here," I called out as I entered the small lobby to her office. She opened the door and gave me a grunt and a nod. "Well, get in here, I don't have all night." She said as my shoulder hung low for a moment, and I walked towards the office. Why do I even bother? It's like no one even cares. I thought, sighing inside my head, as she closed the door.
