"can I get two shots of tequila?" a guy with blonde hair called out to me.
"Yeah sure" I replied
It's eight off the clock already and I haven't gotten home yet.
Jasper would surely miss me by now.
I served the guy his drink and was about taking off my smock before a hand grabbed me
"What" ? I fired frustratingly
"Do you mind some tips?" he asked with a smirk
" Nah,and get your fucking hands off me" ,I said attempting to shove his hands off.
"Do you want me to call your manager?" he asked which pissed me off immediately
"Scram,like I give a fuck",I cursed
"Hey ,watch the language beauty" ,he said with a smug smile.
" Fuck off" ,I screamed moving his hands away from me as he immediately stood up
I was fortunate Manager Trevor came to my aid immediately
"Would you let her be? I don't wanna call the cops",he said with a glare
" Yea,sure go ahead and do just that" ,the man fired
" Let go of her",a deep voice shouted which immediately made everyone froze on the spot.
"A-assistant Blake" ,the blonde haired guy muttered seemingly speechless.
"Scram" ,assistant Blake shouted as the man immediately ran out.
"Thanks a lot sir",I said with a curt bow showing of my pretties smile.
"You should thank him" ,he said and turned attempting to point at someone but sees no one there.
"Oh,sorry about that", he said flushed and immediately ran out.
"You can go ahead now",Manager Trevor said to me
" Alright sir,have a good night",I said as I picked up my bag and walked out of the bar.
I hurriedly walked out of the bar as I hailed down an Uber
I got home in thirty minutes time and jasper was asleep on the couch
He must sure be waiting up for me again
"You are back" ,Hazel my best friend said walking down the stairs
"Yeah,sorry for keeping late" ,I apologized.
" It's fine",she said with a wave of hand.
" Jasper insisted on waiting up for you" ,she informed.
" Ok,go to sleep now I'll take the rest from here"
" Ok,bye goodnight"
" Goodnight",I replied scooting up jasper.
I was very tired after taking a bath and quickly slept off,today was sure hell lot of stress.
I woke up around six 0' clock in the morning and quickly got up to prepare Jasper for school
"Wake up sleepy head" ,I said tugging at his shirt.
" Good morning sis" ,he greeted
"Good morning baby,how was your night?"
'" It was fine and yours?" he asked
"I slept well,"I replied patting his head,come prepare for school If you don't wanna be late.
"Ok,sis".
I took Jasper to school without waking Hazel up cause I knew she was drained and needed sleep.
"Good morning miss Greene" Jasper's class teacher greeted me as we walked into the school premises.
"Good morning Mrs Harrison,I'll have to run along now I'm late" I said with a smile.
"Oh,bye then" .
"Bye sweetie,be good ok" I said giving Jasper a peck on his forehead.
"Bye sis".
I got to the bar in less than hour as I greeted the manager and resumed work.
"Hey Maya,someone sent this to you" my colleague,Scarlet said handing me brownies and muffins.
"Ohh,who?" I asked.
"Dunno,the person was over there but he left right away" she said with a shrug.
"Uhm,why does it sound somewhat creepy?"
"Maybe your secret admirer" she said with a laugh.
"Oh my goodness I pray not" I said with a muffled laugh.
" Well,take it"she said pushing it over to me"
"Ok,thanks" I replied as I got back to work.
" The manager called for you" Nathan,the bartender informed me.
"Ohh,ok"
*Knock knock*
"Come in" manager Trevor said.
I pushed the door ajar and i saw him sitting and sighing as if he was unsettled.
"You called for me,sir"
"Yeah"
"So is there anything you want me to do?" I asked.
"No,e-ehm actually I called you here to inform you that after this week this bar would no longer be mine to manage,it has been sold out"
"What,how come?" I asked baffled.
"I'm so sorry,but everyone has to leave" he said.
" Ok,I understand"I replied ad I walked out of the office lost in thoughts.I couldn't imagine my self going through a workload of stress in searching for another job but I had to do it at least for Jasper's sake.
After work,I went home and told the situation to Hazel.
"Oh,I'm so sorry"
"No in fact I'm to thank you for everything and for taking good care of Jasper" I said.
"I just hope you would find a nice job soon" she said.
"I pray so too"
The week went by in a flash and I have to face the reality of searching for another job,i pray this really works out.
