Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

On a high hill stood an army of hundreds of thousands of people, they were of different races, some slender Elves, some were wizards or summoners, some holding bows and arrows and others holding bladed weapons.

There were Dwarves with hammers and axes in their hands.

Mighty Dragons, still in humanoid form, but with huge wings already popping on their backs, ready to take off, and magic ready to be used.

And the vast majority of them were humans, from wizards and summoners to close and long range warriors.

Beastmen ready to tear apart anyone who got in their way.

These were the remaining races of the world of Aurelion, what used to be dozens of races now only 5 of the native races existed.

And this would be the final battle to decide whether the inhabitants of this war-torn world would survive, become extinct or enslaved.

At the forefront of this powerful army, in the position of commander, was a young-looking man, probably 18 years old, with a determined, calm and confident look, marked by life-or-death experiences and almost endless wars.

With white hair with red highlights, ruby red eyes with vertical pupils, a medium-sized face, but without any trace of facial expression, his skin was impeccable, and his jaw was square; he had simple but beautiful features.

His physique was imposing, almost two meters tall, with a well-worked body full of muscles developed only for battles.

On his back were membranous wings, of a dark red tone, they rested on his shoulders and went down to the back of his feet, almost sweeping the ground, looking more like a cape than wings, they were flexible but equally strong, and one could see several hexagonal scales spread all over his body.

He wore light armor, silver in color with red details, and at his waist was what appeared to be just the hilt of a sword, but it was hollow. Even with its strange appearance, the weapon carried a different air around it; it was clearly not an ordinary weapon.

He was focused on the horizon, calmly observing.

Kilometers away was a pitch-black castle; this structure seemed to absorb every particle of light nearby.

A castle of unimaginable size surrounded by imposing fortresses, which together were much larger than any country on Earth in 2025; it was a true dark kingdom.

Each person of the thousands present observed the imposing structure from a distance, with half-closed eyes, fists clenched in barely contained feelings, be it fury, revenge, fear, anticipation, or even the desire to see this whole war come to an end.

That would be the target of the alliance army from the world of Aurelion, the home of the beings that struck terror into their hearts, and threatened the existence of their home for over centuries.

"People of Aurelion" The young man said, intending to get the attention of his army

"They already know we are here, there is no turning back now, the war to decide our fate is approaching"

"I am not from this world, like all of you, but they called for help, I helped you and you helped me, we formed bonds, some I fought as enemies, others alongside, but today we are united under one flag, in search of survival"

"I cannot promise victory, but I promise that I will fight with every ounce of my power"

"We are here together and we will die or survive together, whatever the cost"

"We trained, improved ourselves, and prepared ourselves as much as possible for this moment, I count on each one here to seek our survival"

"For the people, for our families and for Aurelion" shouted the young man, raising the morale of the army

"""FOR AURELION"""

They all responded in unison, with the battle intent becoming almost palpable.

The Elf captain, El' Kar, approached and said, "Commander Noan, they're on the move."

"Then it's going to start," Noan murmured.

"Get ready, the battle is about to begin."

Noan spoke loudly enough for the entire army to hear, turning around and facing the enemy army that was taking the first steps in what would be the most important battle the world of Aurelion had ever seen in its millions of years of existence.

And at that moment, the gates of the castle and the fortresses opened and thousands and thousands of creatures came out. In a few moments, there were already more than 1 million, and the number was increasing every moment.

Many were black as the deepest abyss, with various shapes and sizes, others were imposing with red skin, large, thick horns on their heads, and wings on their backs.

Several rode beasts that were once inhabitants of Aurelion. The alliance army was furious upon witnessing this.

In minutes, the creatures numbered in the millions, perhaps two million or more.

They began to march toward the alliance army. The ground began to shake, the air became heavy due to the miasma and corrupted energy of these creatures.

Noan made his move. He spread his majestic wings, spanning over 2 meters, and rose high into the sky. With a wave of his hand, an energy invisible to the naked eye traveled at unimaginable speeds, reaching the enemy army, about to strike millions at once. Each enemy would be torn apart in moments.

The energy advanced with the intention of exterminating the entire enemy army, but when there were only centimeters left, a translucent black energy stopped Noan's invisible energy.

And both energies were tied, colliding in the air, causing the space to tremble in response.

But suddenly both energies stopped.

From the castle, a creature that exuded an aura of terrifying power, floated out calmly and indifferently, he rose high into the sky, reaching the same height as Noan.

He first looked at the alliance army like an elephant looking at an ant, then looked at Noan.

And both commanders stared at each other with penetrating gazes, as they knew that their strongest abilities would have no effect on each other, as they canceled each other out.

"The worms have finally decided to leave their moldy burrows," said the being with a hoarse, ancient and supernatural voice.

He wore long black robes that covered much of his body and moved as if they were alive.

He was easily over 4 meters tall, with a body that did not seem robust, but that carried unimaginable power. On his back rested a black spear, one of the 5 supreme weapons of the Abyssal world.

He lowered the hood that covered his face, and what was seen was one that resembled an ant.

The aura around him was on the same level as Noan's aura, the two commanders were at similar levels of power.

"Very well, human from another world, who inherited his power, for placing yourself as an obstacle in the path of the Abyssal Empire, you will find death here, and this world and your home world, bowed to our race" said the ant commander

"We will see, 5th Abyssal king Amosdeu" replied Noan with the same calm tone as before, as if he was not moments away from having a life or death fight.

With that they stopped talking to each other.

"I leave the army in your hands, El' Kar, and I count on you 5 as well."

""Yes sir," the army captains responded in unison.

"""ATTACK, AND EXPEL THE INVADERS FROM OUR WORLD."

""ATTACK""

Noan shouted, and the army responded by going on the attack.

On the other side, Amosdeu also urged his soldiers.

"Advance and massacre anyone who gets in our way."

"GRAHRRRRR"

They shouted in screams as they ran to kill and massacre Noan's army.

As the armies advanced towards a bloody war, the two commanders faced each other, until suddenly both disappeared from their places, appearing in seconds, kilometers away from their armies.

They could not fight alongside their armies, because if that happened, their respective soldiers would die only from the shockwaves of their battle.

The truth is that each of them could win the war in seconds, but due to their skills that are perfect countermeasures for each other, they could not do so.

So they would have a fight, where the winner takes everything on the planet, while the loser would see the end of his existence.

And without saying a single word, both charged at each other, punches at ultrasonic speeds, sword cuts and spear thrusts that divided the blue sky and the earth below, skills that changed the landscape, transforming everything into a cacophony of chaos and destruction.

----

And so they fought for minutes, hours and days, until 3 days and 3 nights later, Noan was with what seemed to be a black heart in his left hand, his only full hand.

The terrain around him was a mess, what was once a forest of imposing trees was now nothing more than a desert of lava, craters and non-existent parts of mountains, and this applied to kilometers and kilometers in diameter around him.

At his feet was the lifeless remains of the body of the 5th Abyssal King Amosdeu, only pieces of black flesh, a spear still intact despite the impact of the battle and a chest with a huge hole in the middle.

"It's finally over, and with this here I'll be able to return to Earth" Noan said to himself as he looked at the still beating heart in his hand.

Even though the battle of the armies was still going on, with Noan's victory, the war can already be considered over, as he has the power to wipe out the entire enemy army at once in a matter of moments.

"This whole mess has been going on for what, about 2 years. I miss my home" he breathed a sigh of relief even though he knew that after a while it might be Earth that would be going through something like this

"Who would have thought that this would be happening to me, how did this mess even start?"

"Yes, it was like that, ever since the day I ended up here and all this started"

"But my life was already a mess anyway, I was at risk of dying every day whether I was here or on Earth"

Reflecting and going over everything that had happened to him in his head, Noan floated in the air and headed towards the armies, intending to end the war once and for all and organize his departure for planet Earth.

"I wonder how things are over there?"

With barely contained excitement about finally returning home, Noan disappeared into the sky.

With that, Earth, without knowing it, would receive back the weight that would finally unbalance the scales and exponentially increase the chances of survival of its inhabitants.
