Boom!
The lightning jolted Ning Wei awake.
Her eyes widened and her breathing labored.
She stared at the ceiling with a dazed look in her eyes. It took her a while before she realized that she was now in her bedroom.
Once she calmed down, Ning Wei pushed the quilt cover to get off the bed. She walked over to the window and frowned.
Seeing the droplets of water against the window made her frown.
Ning Wei pulled the curtain hastily.
Rainy days always made her uncomfortable.
The ringing coming from the bedside table made Ning Wei turn.
She reached for her phone and paused when she saw the Manager's name on the phone screen.
Ning Wei picked up the phone and leaned against the wall lazily. "Hello?"
"Xiao Wei?" Fu Ming Shi's voice was heard on the other line. "You're awake?"
"Hmm… Just awake." Ning Wei brushed her fingers through her short hair. "Brother Fu, what's up?"
"Everyone agreed to meet at the club tonight," Fu Ming Shi said. "Are you coming? No. You have to come. Should I pick you up?"
Ning Wei was about to reject the man's offer when she remembered something important. "That's good. Coincidentally, my baby is in the workshop."
The corner of Fu Ming Shi's lips began to twitch. He knew that Ning Wei was referring to her superbike.

"Where are you going?" Fu Ming Shi frowned.
"The restroom." Ning Wei pointed at her glass. "I probably had too much to drink."
Fu Ming Shi gave Ning Wei a look. "Be careful. It would be troublesome if someone recognized you."
Ning Wei waved a hand. "Brother Fu, I know."
Fu Ming Shi frowned. "Come back soon. I still have a few things to discuss with you."
