Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: High-Speed Movement

Hill and Nick Fury frowned and hurried to the agent's side.

The agent exposed the lower part of the Alaskan Malamute's neck and said, "Sir, there are signs of electric shock or burns on the dog."

On the dog's chest, there was a palm-sized area where the fur had turned charred black, clearly the result of Pichu's electric shock earlier.

"The dog made contact with the target, and the target attacked it."

Seeing the scorched area on the dog's body, Nick Fury and Hill exchanged serious glances, already forming some guesses in their minds.

Hill quickly had an idea, gently pressed the earphone, and said, "Agent John, bring in the target's picture."

After a little while, an agent quickly walked in with a tablet.

On the tablet, a processed and clearer picture of Pichu was displayed, captured from the surveillance video.

Hill took the tablet and placed the screen in front of the dog.

"Aww!!!"

Seeing Pichu on the screen, the Alaskan Malamute whimpered and let out a terrified howl. Its ears drooped, and its survival instincts kicked in, causing it to break free from the agent's arms.

"Woof woof woof..."

After breaking free, the dog bared its teeth and barked a few times towards the stairs leading to the second floor, then turned and ran back to the den set up by its owner.

Although it barked bravely, it was even more embarrassing when it ran away.

The dog returned to its nest, curling up and shivering.

Clearly, Pichu's electric shock left a lasting impression.

The dog broke free violently, and the squatting agent almost fell to the ground. Fortunately, he reacted quickly and steadied himself with his hands.

When Nick Fury and Hill saw the dog's reaction, they immediately understood that the dog had indeed encountered Pichu and had been "taught a lesson."

But it didn't kill the dog, which gave Nick Fury a bit of relief.

"Continue the search, primarily on the second floor. Don't miss any possible hiding places," Nick Fury instructed, a serious expression on his face.

The dog's barking towards the stairs indicated that Pichu was probably on the second floor.

Inside the master bedroom...

After Hill left, Pichu immediately ran out from under the bed, carefully made his way to the stairs, and stopped at the corner, his big ears twitching slightly, eavesdropping on the sounds from the first floor.

When Pichu heard that they planned to conduct a thorough search, he had an urge to discharge electricity.

At the moment, he was sure that these people had come to find him.

To be honest, Pichu doesn't intend to be exposed until his strength is enough.

But things didn't go as planned.

Pichu wasn't surprised that he was discovered.

He was just an ordinary person before, and even after crossing over and becoming Pichu, he didn't think he could hide from everyone's attention.

Pichu was already very proud of managing to carry out his activities for three consecutive months before being caught.

Now that he was discovered, Pichu wasn't very worried.

Because when he accumulated 5000 evolution points, the system unlocked a new skill for him.

High-Speed Movement: Unleash lightning and use the power of lightning to greatly increase your own speed. It is as fast as lightning, and the effect of skills will increase with the improvement of strength.

The high-speed movement skill was initially used by Pikachu in the animation to avoid enemy attacks, but it was later replaced by a lightning-fast move.

In the Pokémon game, it seems that it takes more than 30 levels to learn this skill.

However, Pichu isn't playing a game, nor has he traveled to the animation world, so the form of the skill has been modified by the system.

As for how strong the effect of High-Speed Movement is now, for example, without using it, it takes about 16 seconds for Pichu to run 100 meters, but it only takes about 8 seconds if using the lightning-fast move.

It can be seen how exaggerated High-Speed Movement is in boosting Pichu's speed, so much so that it can barely match the "lightning-fast" description in the skill brief.

And the skill effect will increase with Pichu's growth in strength.

"Should I go out and meet them for a while?"

Hiding behind the corner, Pichu's big eyes kept rolling as he began to think, resisting the urge to rub his cheeks to create an electric arc.

It stands to reason that at this time, Pichu should avoid the edge for the time being, sneak away first, and then come out when he has enough strength. This is a wise choice.

But it seems a little unsatisfying to just leave like this. At least he wants to figure out who is looking for him.

"Tsk, let's go out and see who it is. Is it S.H.I.E.L.D? Anyway, with High-Speed Movement, they can't catch me without adequate preparation."

In the end, Pichu decided to take a risk to find out who was following him.

Indeed, he made this decision mainly because he heard what seemed to be the team leader say before:

"Find the target and don't attack for now..."

That being the case, there is nothing to be afraid of.

After figuring it out, Pichu raised his short hands, which were barely enough to touch his eyes, and couldn't help rubbing the spots on his cheeks.

Strands of golden arcs suddenly crackled and danced wildly.

Pichu doesn't know why he likes to rub his cheeks with his hands so much. Could it be that rubbing electricity is fun?

He doesn't understand, but every time he finishes rubbing, he feels happy.

After rubbing his cheeks with both hands, Pichu walked out of the corner and jumped towards the first floor, hopping down the stairs.

Then he looked at the people in the hall.

After seeing their appearance, Pichu subconsciously raised his right hand and rubbed it on his cheek again.

At that moment, he realized he was being targeted by S.H.I.E.L.D.

After all, the dark-skinned, bald-headed, eyepatch-wearing, trench coat-clad Nick Fury is so recognizable, not much less than Tony Stark.

There is also Maria Hill, the deputy director of S.H.I.E.L.D, a mature, capable, and tall lady, who gives the illusion of an ice-cold beauty due to her meticulous expression.

For Pichu, who is half a Marvel fan after watching all the Marvel movies, he immediately recognized these two S.H.I.E.L.D leaders at first glance.
