## Hazel's POV
I watched the police car disappear down the street with Liana Langdon inside, a strange mix of emotions swirling in my chest. Relief, satisfaction, but also a lingering unease. The Everett family's downfall should have felt like victory, but mostly I was just tired.
"Thank you," I said, turning to Sebastian beside me. "For showing up when you did."
His eyes softened as he looked down at me. "I came as soon as my security team alerted me about what was happening."
Of course he had. Sebastian was always one step ahead, always watching, always protecting. The thought was both comforting and overwhelming.
"I should get back to Grandma and Aunt Vera," I said, suddenly feeling awkward standing so close to him on the porch. "They must be shaken."
Sebastian nodded, but made no move to leave.
"Would you..." The words escaped before I could stop them. "Would you like to come up and meet them properly?"
