Setting: Monsoon-soaked Mumbai with hidden doorways to other timelines
You Are: A seemingly ordinary girl who accidentally inherits a dusty keychain from a roadside fakir — turns out, each charm lets you glimpse a different version of your life. One leads to ancient dynasties, another to a neon future where memories are currency.
Your Sidekick: A crow named Chiku who sounds suspiciously like an old Bollywood actor and won't shut up about karma.
The Twist:
Ah, Nani (maternal grandmother)! She was as cuckoo as a … well, a cuckoo. She managed to escape from 2 mental asylums and 4 old age homes in her time. The first two were nice stories to laugh about, the last 4 were the universe laughing at you and your family, who had to deal with the disappearing trails she left behind and the curses of the employees. She was so notorious there was a name given to her by those in the nursing home world: The reincarnation of Houdini himself! This, in my opinion, is not a very impressive title though. I mean, how impressive could nursing home security be to merit admiration when one manages to escape from one?
Well, you do not have very good memories of this woman, as you could guess from her description. She was not a good grandmother to be around and not a grandmother who was around often. Now, she rests in an urn that you take care of. But, it seems that even death hasn't stopped her from playing one last magic trick on you. She has left behind absolute gibberish chai (tea) recipes for you to find, that no one could possibly understand or follow and you have to somehow deal with this nuisance!
The Twist: The time portals are closing one by one — unless you solve a riddle hidden in seven forgotten tea recipes from your nani's handwritten book.
