"Brothers, I suspect that whoever wants to kill Oden might have a deeper motive. Otherwise, why go through all the trouble of humiliating him publicly in the Flower Capital? They could've just killed him outright."
Reid voiced his thoughts. Though he knew some things about the future, nothing was absolutely certain—variables always existed. So, there was nothing wrong with sharing his analysis.
"Publicly humiliate Oden? Brother Reid, what do you mean?"
Dongino frowned in confusion. Captain Roger had only told them that Oden's life was in danger, not that he'd have to act like a fool in the Flower Capital.
"Yeah, Brother Reid, damn it! What the hell's going on?"
Max Mark was so furious he smashed his wine glass to pieces.
Aside from those already in the know, the others glared at Reid with anger, waiting for his explanation.
"Right. It's Orochi and Kaido."
Reid repeated what he had said earlier.
After hearing his words, everyone was seething with rage—even Jabi, Sanbel, and the others who already knew clenched their fists until their knuckles cracked.
"These bastards are asking for death! Do they have a death wish?"
Yamon's voice turned shrill as she gripped her spear, the blade glinting gold under the firelight.
"That Kaido guy was just a rookie on the Rocks Pirates back in the day. How dare he act so arrogantly now?"
Moan Isaac was so angry his mustache bristled like he could stab Kaido to death with his nose.
Dongino exhaled smoke furiously through his nostrils. "I'm not strong enough, or I'd beat Orochi and Kaido to a pulp myself!"
"Don't worry, we'll take care of them for you."
Yanlong clashed his spiked gauntlets together, the sound of metal grinding sharp in the air.
Gulp, gulp, gulp.
Roger chugged several mouthfuls of wine, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"Hahahaha! Kaido, huh? The World Government calls him the 'Strongest Creature,' the user of the Uo Uo no Mi, Mythical Zoan-type: Azure Dragon. A formidable opponent!"
"If even Roger speaks so highly of Kaido, he really must be strong," Reid thought to himself, impressed.
"Kaido's been reported to have an indestructible body. The World Government claims he's invincible—no matter how you try to kill him, he won't die."
Sanbel tore into a piece of roasted meat, his eyes slanting slightly as he spoke.
"Huh? So even at this point, the World Government already describes Kaido like that?" Reid mused silently. There was still so much he didn't know.
"A rare Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit… To think Kaido's been hiding in Wano all this time." Rayleigh took a sip of wine, his expression turning serious.
"Pfft! Compared to the Captain, Kaido's nothing. 'Strongest Creature'? As if he's stronger than Roger!" Doringo bared his teeth, scoffing.
"Damn right! I'll ride on Kaido's head and beat the crap out of him!" Pancrow crossed his arms, looking utterly defiant.
"Hahaha! And Whitebeard's coming too. Wano's gonna be one hell of a party!"
CB Goran grinned, chugging his drink.
"Hahahaha! With the Roger Pirates and Whitebeard Pirates both heading to Wano, that Kurozumi Orochi and Kaido will probably piss themselves! Hahahaha!"
Sanbel took another huge bite of meat, then gulped down more wine.
"Ahhh—so good!"
"Whitebeard's coming too?" Momora gasped. Whitebeard's strength was on par with their Captain's.
"Did you forget? Oden was originally Whitebeard's brother. Roger stole him. And Whitebeard's famous for protecting his family." Nozdon grinned, his voice gruff.
"More like Roger begged on his knees. Still counts as stealing, though. So embarrassing."
Rayleigh couldn't resist taking another jab at Roger.
"Hahaha! Once we've settled Rouge and Ace in a few months, we'll set sail. It's still a long way till the 20-year mark—might as well find something to do."
Roger grinned, gazing at the starry sky, his eyes shimmering.
Hearing this, Rouge gently touched her belly, a faint smile on her lips. She knew her man still had important things to do.
"Rouge, I'll stay by your side. Don't worry about anything. Captain Roger will handle it all."
Aileo puffed on his cigarette, noticing Rouge's expression. He'd been by her side for over half a year and understood her thoughts.
"Thank you, Aileo. I've been such a burden."
"Don't say that. As long as you and Ace are safe, the Captain can focus on his mission."
"Mm." Rouge nodded softly.
"Hahahaha! Captain, we were the first to reach Laugh Tale! Who in this world can stop us now? Anyone who dares try—we'll crush them!"
Yutou's eyes burned with excitement as he punched the air.
"Ha! Yeah, Laugh Tale… The world should be filled with the laughter of the 'D.' Everyone deserves freedom."
Roger sighed nostalgically, then glanced at Rayleigh.
"Rayleigh, time flies. From the day I first invited you to join the Roger Pirates, look how many comrades we've gathered since then."
"Yeah… The times move too fast. Every era births its own legends. Golden Lion Shiki was captured, Rocks D. Xebec fell… If not for Reid…"
"If not for Reid, Roger, you'd be dead too."
Rayleigh took a sip of wine, grinning faintly as he spoke.
"Reid… Mm." Rouge murmured softly, a grateful smile on her face.
"Hahaha! Yeah, I should be dead. But since I'm still alive, let's overturn this world together! Heh."
Roger smirked, his eyes brimming with confidence.
"OVERTURN THE WORLD!"
"OVERTURN THE WORLD!"
"OVERTURN THE WORLD!"
The crew raised their glasses around the bonfire, shouting passionately, their hearts burning with fervor.
"Overturn the world!" Reid roared along with them, grinning wildly. There was something exhilarating about yelling it out loud like this.
After the chorus of shouts, everyone was still grinning, their faces filled with unwavering determination.
"Oh, right—Brother Reid, is your Devil Fruit power really exactly like Sengoku's? Can you transform and show us?"
Lowen, who rarely spoke up due to his lack of combat ability, finally voiced his curiosity.
"I wanna see too! I wanna see!"
Pancrow bounced around excitedly, egging him on.
Nearby, Jabi watched with an amused smile—
