The spear I picked up was heavier than I expected.

Then Alaris sat beside me, casually sipping from his own bottle.
"Your class is right there," I told him.
"Spearfishing," he said. His eyes were fixed somewhere far off on the horizon.
I blinked. "What?"
"Spearfishing," he repeated. "Fishing spears? Or fishing with spears?"
He turned toward me, completely serious—like he'd just asked a very mind boggling question.
"When did spears become fish?" I asked flatly.
"Exactly."
