📖 The Lost King: Volume 2 – Kingdoms of Ashes
Introduction:
The flames of war may have dimmed, but the ashes still breathe.
After the fall of Burned Village and the death of Tunde, the rebel legion stands fractured — wounded in both body and spirit. Survivors scatter into the shadows, hunted by the ever-watchful eyes of the Ojora Empire. Yet in darkness, rebellion stirs once more.
Adeola, still haunted by the truth of his origin, must rise — not as a lone warrior, but as a leader. Bayo, once a proud fighter, carries the heavy burden of guilt and broken trust. And Yemi, son of a fallen commander, must now wear the mantle of leadership amid grief and blame.
Across the lands, enemies grow bolder, secrets unravel, and forgotten legends awaken. As old wounds fester and alliances are tested, a monstrous force is unleashed — born from blood, pain, and ancient sorcery. The Ojora Empire is no longer fighting with swords alone.
But neither are the rebels.
With new allies, painful reckonings, and a storm of vengeance brewing, The Lost King continues — where fire meets fate, and every scar tells a story.
This is Volume 2.
The war has just begun.
Season 2, Chapter 1
Scene 1 – Burned Shadows
Setting: A smoldering ruin near what once was Akinwumi Village.
Ash floats in the air. We open with Adeola, sitting on a broken pillar, looking out at what remains of the rebel village. His face is bruised, but his eyes are sharper than ever. Morenike approaches quietly.
> "There's no going back to what we were," she says.
Adeola replies, "Then we move forward. But first—we gather who's left."
---
Scene 2 – Among the Survivors
In a hidden cave within the forest, Bayo sharpens his blade silently while Moremi treats her wounds. Tension hangs thick. The memory of Tunde's death, and the consequences, echoes in each character's silence.
> Flashbacks show Tunde's body falling, the village burning, and Yemi yelling at Bayo to retreat.
Bayo mutters in present time: "He was never supposed to become a symbol."
---
Scene 3 – Yemi's Guilt
Yemi stares into a stream, haunted by the loss of Chief Alade and Ayomide. He remembers the last words of his father:
> "Don't fight for revenge. Fight for the living."
He clenches his fists, still angry at Bayo's recklessness.
---
Scene 4 – Secrets Shared
Later, around a small fire, Morenike begins to open up. She tells Adeola and Moremi about Bankode, the powerful sorcerer who once served the Ojora Empire and now operates behind the curtain.
> "He is my father," she says, voice quiet. "But he is also the man who cursed the five kingdoms."
Adeola stiffens. Moremi's eyes widen.
> "And you?" Adeola asks.
"I chose the flame instead of his darkness," she replies.

Scene 5 – In the Palace of Ashes
Setting: The Ojora Empire.
Adekunle watches from his throne. His face shows no remorse—only triumph. News of the village's destruction pleases him.
He summons Adebayo, a new general—calculating, brutal, and loyal.
> "Tunde died for my legacy. I will bury the rest of them in his honor."
In the shadows, Bankode watches too. He senses something… a whisper in the wind.
> "She's still alive," he mutters. "Morenike walks with the flame."
