The summer before Harry's fourth year was silent… too silent.
No threats. No letters. No rescue attempts.
Just silence.
Harry sat alone on his bed at Number Four, Privet Drive, when an unfamiliar owl slammed into the window at midnight. Its eyes glowed blue. Its feathers shimmered with enchantments older than the Ministry itself. Tied to its leg was a scroll bearing the crimson and obsidian seal of Gringotts High Magic.
"To Lord Harry James Potter-Black-Peverell-Pendragon-Sparta-Rome,
You are summoned for the execution of the Will of the late Lord Sirius Orion Black.
You are his heir in blood, soul, and legacy."
Harry blinked.
Lord?
The next morning, he vanished from Privet Drive without a word. A black dragon with goblin markings on its scales swooped down in the night and flew him into the clouds.
When he landed, he found himself standing at the gates of Vault Zero.
There, the goblin king himself—Ragnok—bowed.
"Welcome home, Lord Potter. Or should I say… Lord Wood."
