Chapter 36 - Chapter 36 - Stroking Naaza’s Tail

Naaza's eyes lit up the moment she heard Raven's request.

To her, Raven Eltharion wasn't just a customer—

He was the customer.

Her only loyal regular—and a big spender at that.

Considering how remote this shop was, visitors were practically nonexistent.

Even when adventurers did wander nearby, they usually turned their noses up at the shabby exterior.

Truthfully, no sales had been made in the past few days.

So when Raven showed up again, Naaza couldn't help but beam with joy.

She quickly wrapped up her work and moved behind the counter.

"Raven, not bad at all," she said, tail swaying with a rare smile. "So generous."

"Wait just a moment, alright?"

She ducked down to retrieve the goods.

Her fluffy brown tail swayed lightly in front of Raven's eyes, clearly revealing her good mood.

Naaza Erisuis—title: [Healing God's Loyal Hound].

A dedicated and hardworking girl, though her face always wore a hint of drowsiness.

She had once been a front-line adventurer… until the day she lost her right arm on the middle floors.

Trauma from that event left her with a deep fear of monsters.

Even facing one now would cause her to freeze in place.

After that, she left combat behind and became a pharmacist.

Her current silver prosthetic arm was an advanced artifact valued at over 100 million valis.

To afford it, their god Miach had borrowed heavily from the [Dian Cecht Familia]—

Falling deep into debt in the process.

Since then, Naaza had taken it upon herself to help pay it back—

Running this rundown shop day after day.

That was why… she always looked so tired.

Raven couldn't help but feel fortunate.

The [Hestia Familia] might be poor, but at least they had no such crushing debts.

Most importantly—

He was a mage.

So long as Hestia didn't suddenly go knocking on Hephaestus's door to custom-order a god-tier weapon…

He was probably safe.

Unlike Bell in the original story—who somehow ended up with a 300 million valis debt—

Raven intended to live debt-free.

Part-time work? No, thank you.

He let out a small sigh of relief.

"By the way, where's Miach?" Raven asked, shifting his gaze away from her tail and glancing around the small, dim shop.

It was quiet, slightly cold, and decorated only with the bare minimum.

Compared to Airmid's pristine, high-end store earlier, this place looked more like a storage room.

Naaza placed a large white container on the counter. "Miach-sama's out running errands."

"He'll be back by evening. It's just me here today."

Inside the box were rows of test tubes filled with a faint violet liquid.

"Here you go—20 [High-Grade MP Recovery Potions]," she said softly.

"After a discount—and with 40 [Recovery Potions] as a gift—that'll be 180,000 valis in total."

"Fair price." Raven casually retrieved the coin pouch he'd received from Airmid.

He counted out 180,000 valis and handed it over.

"Thanks, Raven~" Naaza's tail gave another happy sway.

Then, her curiosity got the better of her.

"That thing… what is it, anyway?"

"My space magic," Raven replied simply.

As he spoke, he stored the 20 [High-Grade MP Potions] and 40 [Recovery Potions] into his [Virtual Storage Space].

"...Huh?" Naaza blinked, stunned. "That convenient?"

"Yup."

Honestly, this virtual storage system was cheat-tier.

No weight limit. No space limit.

Perfect for dungeon exploration.

Normal adventurers, once their packs were full, had to return to the surface or start discarding loot.

But Raven?

He could keep everything—magic stones, drop items, gear—it didn't matter.

Seeing such a rare skill in action, Naaza was speechless.

After a long pause, she brightened again and pulled out a single glass vial from the drawer behind her.

"Raven, want to try a fresh batch?" she offered.

"It's a new [High-Grade Recovery Potion] I just brewed!"

"...Nah," Raven shook his head. "The ones you gave me are more than enough."

Naaza's ears drooped. "Uuugh… Big Sis is sad. My tummy's growling… I haven't eaten all day…"

Raven twitched.

She was good.

Better than he was, honestly.

"…Fine. I'll buy one."

He gave in, partly out of pity—but mostly because having a few top-tier recovery potions wasn't a bad idea.

"Thank you, Raven! I love you!" Naaza said without shame, tail wagging like crazy.

Raven's eyes drifted again—

That tail was fluffy. Too fluffy.

Without thinking, he blurted out, "Can I touch your tail?"

Naaza didn't even hesitate.

She placed it gently on the counter. "Go ahead."

Raven reached out—

Soft. Warm. Clean. Smooth.

The fur was silky and pleasant to the touch.

Somehow, it was incredibly relaxing.

Before he transmigrated, Raven had loved petting cats.

To think… he'd get to experience the same pleasure in another world.

He slowly stroked along the tail's length.

Naaza gave a tiny sigh and half-closed her eyes.

"Mmm~ Raven… are you done yet?"

"Not yet."

This was addictive.

Like stress was just… melting away.

Her ears twitched and her cheeks turned faintly red, but she didn't stop him.

"Feels good?" Raven asked, still stroking gently.

"...Yeah." Naaza's voice was soft. "You're really good at this… have you practiced?"

"Nope."

Eventually, Raven glanced at the clock on the wall and sighed.

Time to move.

He reluctantly released her tail and stood straight. "I've got somewhere to be."

"I'll come visit again soon."

He handed her another 10,000 valis for the potion, stored it, and made his way out.

Behind him—

Naaza clutched her tail with both hands and smiled softly.

"Raven… is so nice."

Raven Eltharion's Current Funds: 610,000 valis
