Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: You're the “Master”?

Suifeng was bored, munching on sunflower seeds, amused to see Tang San completely entranced by the Grandmaster's lecture—he found it rather dull.

Just as the Grandmaster was about to deliver the most crucial line, he suddenly paused, glancing at Suifeng as if unsure whether to continue.

Suifeng folded his legs, brushed crumbs off his clothes, and prepared to leave. As he passed, Tang San grabbed his wrist. Suifeng turned, confused: he already knew what was coming. His twin martial soul was known to him but not to others… except perhaps Tang San.

Tang San smiled simply: "Teacher, continue. He's my brother—I trust him."

Surprisingly touched, Suifeng thought, after all the times I've tricked him, he still believes in me… Guess I'll try to trick him less from now on.

The Grandmaster hesitated briefly, shrugged, and continued, "You have another martial soul. Unless I'm mistaken, you are the third person in a century to possess twin martial souls."

Finishing his statement, he glanced at Suifeng—Tang San's greatest secret (apart from being a transmigrator) was now laid bare, and he watched Suifeng nervously.

Suifeng met their gazes calmly, then suddenly realized he should perform a shocked reaction. He overacted magnificently, eyes wide, hand over mouth:

"Ah?! The legendary Twin Martial Soul?!"

Tang San slapped his forehead: "Your acting is so cheesy!" Then he laughed—his biggest secret was now known, but Suifeng's lack of surprise was amusing.

Suifeng smirked, discarded the overacting, drew an apple from his space bag, and took a bite. "Okay, carry on—I'll just watch quietly."

The Grandmaster sighed inwardly. Twin martial souls—rare, and here Suifeng treated it like daily cabbage. What if the Divine Script Master knew? But Suifeng would scoff: Twin martial souls? Everyone's got that these days.

He resumed his lecture on the Ten Core Competencies of Martial Souls, now directing his speech at Tang San. Half an hour in, Suifeng nearly nodded off—until he heard someone call his name. He suddenly stood, and raised his hand:

"Teacher, the answer is C. I'm not asleep!"

He wiped drool from his mouth. Tang San and the Grandmaster looked at him in surprise.

Grandmaster asked, "C? What does that mean?"

Tang San explained: "Actually, Master, tomorrow is just orientation. The day after, we'll go to the Soul-Hunting Forest outside Nottingham City to get soul rings. Do you want to come? You've become a soul master, so you can join us."

Suifeng realized it was that, not a pop quiz. He calmly sat: "Sure, if Tang San gets a soul ring, I'll go too."

He knew Tang San's trip wasn't dangerous—they were hunting a Mandala snake for his first ring—but unpredictability was real. Since his arrival, the Soul Land script had already shifted; this world is his life now. He'd better be cautious.

The system overheard his resolve and was pleased. Please proceed.

Suifeng blinked at Tang San: "I barely snoozed, and the teacher already invited me?"

Tang San smiled: "Yes—he's learned and a good guide."

Maybe the praise got to him, but the Grandmaster smiled and said to Suifeng:

"Well, I'm no great teacher—just read some books and researched spirit beasts. But if you want to take me as your mentor, I can help you plan your future soul ring distribution and soul-beast hunts. Interested?"

Suifeng blurted: "Just that?" Then regretted it—but it was out.

Tang San explained quickly: "Teacher, don't take it the wrong way. Suifeng's always blunt—don't mind him."

The Grandmaster's frown relaxed. "Sure—what spirit beast matches what soul ring matters a lot. And on soul-beast research—well, I know my business," he said with confidence. As long as no brawls break out.

Suifeng couldn't resist: "Okay let me test you. There's a cage with some Grass‑roosters and several Wind Rabbits. The rabbits walk on all fours. From above, you count 35 heads; from below, you count 94 feet. How many of each are in the cage?"

The Grandmaster looked stunned: "That's… soul-beast knowledge?"

Suifeng smiled: "Isn't it? Can't work it out?"

The Master tried, counted on his fingers—no luck. He sighed.

They decided it was time to head back. As they set out, Suifeng quietly muttered with a half-smile:

"Master? You're full of it."

Tang San didn't catch it—he was looking down—but Suifeng winked and said to him:

"Your teacher's great, huh?"

Tang San nodded in agreement and they returned to the dormitory happily.

That night, Tang San, exhausted from the lecture, said goodnight early. Suifeng nodded and resumed his final training session. Since getting his soul ring, he continued cultivating—after all, with this System, others got Legendary Swords from ants or spiritual breakthroughs from breathing. You should be ashamed.

Shout-out to Invincible Myth System.
