Author's Note: Magneto is not connected to The Brotherhood of Mutants in this timeline. He has heard of them, yes, and when they extended an offer for him to join them, he refused. However, he can understand what they do for mutantkind; they do go to certain extremes sometimes. However, he has to take care of the greater population and not interfere. In fact, he was even unaware of what they were doing, trying to assassinate the senator or the man they were going after. Now then, that was quite a mouthful!.
With that being said, a year and a half has passed. Yes, I believe a year and a half. Now, Izuku Midoriya has spent some time in Genosha. In fact, he's spent his summer vacation here through the months of June, July, and August, I believe in that order. Midoriya has been hanging out here, and he's already passed his birthday on July 15th, if I'm correct about the character. He's had a lot of fun. People don't have to hide who they are; they take pride in their mutations.
Along with that, Charles Xavier wanted to show the boy a place where he can belong comfortably. Inside the mansion, you're just there, and you can lock yourself inside, but that gets boring. He could tell that everyone needed some time outside, so he brought them here. Magneto already got things set up for them, and they have places to stay. Midoriya's parents find this place very strange. Apparently, they are among the few visitors on the island who possess Quirks and are still mutations. They do get tourists, yes, but they don't feel safe there.
With all that being said, we're with Midoriya today. He and his friends are actually walking to a park. People are flying overhead and zooming by, while someone is sliding on the fence and manipulating matter. They're able to glide on metal wires and fences with ease, and no one really bats an eye. The weirdest things are happening all around them, but everyone goes on with their daily lives because that's just the new normal here, and Midoriya has gotten used to it.
As he turns to Kitty Pryde, Kurt (Nightcrawler), and a few others who Midoriya has with him, he asks if they really think they should be sparring here. Someone responds that they actually got permission and that everything will be fine. "There's no law here talking about them not being on a spar; as long as nobody gets hurt, it's okay."
Now, with that being said, Midoriya thinks that should be alright, and they head into the park. Five people stand in front of five others, which is quite funny since Midoriya stands opposite Sunspot, who kicked his ass the last time they saw each other. Sunspot, who I believe is around 17 or possibly still 16, looks at this kid and asks, "What are you doing here?"
"Hm, what are you doing here?"
"I'm here for a 5v5."
"So am I!" Midoriya quickly looks to his friends as Sunspot does the same with his team.
Midoriya quickly realizes what this is, looking over at Kitty and asking if she knew about this. "Hmm, oh, come on, Midoriya, of course I did! Besides, you know how hard it is to hide anything around you!"
"Hmm, well, kinda. Then again, I'm still trying to get used to all this. What is she talking about? Apparently, I have more powers than the last time we met."
"Hmm, yeah, whenever you stuck four fingers in my chest!"
Now, somebody on Midoriya's team begins to laugh and say, "Holy crap, is that actually what happened?" As we do have X-23. Now, she just goes on telling Midoriya that that sounds pretty hardcore and that she would pay to see that again, or pay to see that. Sunspot is talking about how it took him a while to recover from that, actually, and as long as he doesn't do that again, then he's alright with a 5v5.
Now, he has a smirk, and we do have Kitty, who just tells them that if they're going to do that, stay airborne, and that if they're going to get more serious, take it up higher into the sky. This being where Midoriya, he does just turn to Kitty and say, "Yeah, yeah!" Sunspot is doing kind of the same thing to his own team. As they all begin to take steps backwards and spread out as Midoriya faces off against Sunspot once again, and Kitty and the rest of his team do face off against different people.
Now, the roster is for people who have already been talked about. But who is the fifth person? Yeah, I want to say that the fifth person on Midoriya's team... no, I don't believe I should introduce them yet. Oh, let's see a different character: Illyana (Magik), I think that's her name, is Magic. She is Cyclops's niece. I'll be introducing her to Midoriya's team. Now, for those of you who are confused as to who that character is, she has a complicated history, first off, and I will not be explaining it all because I would be here for a minute.
But let's begin with their battle. Midoriya actually is beginning to float up into the air, as power begins to course around him, and the black energy is seeping from his hands and eyes. As Sunspot actually does begin to burn bright, he gets hotter and hotter and hotter immediately. Now, everyone does actually take a second before they begin their own battles, and you actually watch Midoriya and Sunspot face off.
Now, we actually do have, at a cafe nearby, Charles and Magneto. Magneto is still wearing his helmet, and he is actually sipping coffee through a straw as he's asking Charles if he really does believe that that boy is The Phoenix. To which he actually does go on talking about it, "Yes, yes, he does."
Now, the two begin a conversation, Charles trying to back it up with the evidence he does have, while Magneto begins to try and support his claim that Charles cannot find two Phoenixes. "That's impossible! He mistook Jean Grey for one, supposedly after he found Midoriya, so he had a falsehood on that! Charles's nightmare is nothing more than that, a nightmare! And that his old friend should just leave that in the past, and they should focus on the here and now." Trying to explain to Charles that he does actually have another proposition, trying to talk about how Genosha can be a safe haven for his school, so that the students can be welcome here.
Now, Charles goes on talking about how the world would not accept mutants if they just tried and hide themselves altogether. They would think that something is happening, and they would be fearful. "What happens whenever a powerful group of individuals are low in number but have powers that greatly, greatly overpower their enemy?" He has fought people like that before, and he knows what happens.
Magneto is nodding as a loud sound is heard before you actually do look over into the distance, as you do see two waves in the air, one black and one burning orange, clashing and colliding as a collision is shot out directly at each other. Magneto comments on that, "That battle is already happening!" And "Who does Charles believe will win?"
Now, let us currently cut back over as Midoriya and Sunspot are currently just blasting away at their own power with each other. And Midoriya, he actually does follow what Sunspot did in their last battle. These two are basically pouring power at one another. Midoriya turns off his own power, falling out of the air before doing a flip, immediately flying up towards Sunspot, and bringing his hands together to hammer him across the face with a punch. And that does actually catch Sunspot off his guard, before bringing his hand up. He actually does blast energy point blank in the middle of his face, and tries to smack Midoriya across his ear, or his right ear, to disorient him.
Now, the other battles going on, on the ground are intense but not as intense as Midoriya and Sunspot's. As they eventually do collide with each other. They go to their absolute limits. A prolonged battle that was booming, explosive, and beautiful to say the least, is at an end when Midoriya and Sunspot collide fists. In Midoriya, he's putting more and more of his dark energy into it, and Sunspot does put more and more of the power of the sun into his battle, or into his fist. Midoriya and him going back and forth before Midoriya throws out his other fist and Sunspot does the same. A shockwave is actually beginning to form, and it's hitting the ground, knocking everyone off their feet, as they look up to see the two mutants.
Now, at this point, everyone on Genosha can see flames or darkness on the island, and anyone within a five-mile radius can feel and see the battle. It's that bright and that intense! Intense! Now, with that, Midoriya he actually [cocks] back his head, and Sunspot does do the same as these two let loose with one more attack and smash each other's heads at each other. Now, as soon as it does actually happen, a sonic boom does occur. These two broke the sound barrier with the simple force of that last attack!
Midoriya is sent flying backward and with a possible concussion. Sunspot does the same as Midoriya, he goes flying backwards at high speeds, and he smashes through a tree before landing onto the ground. Midoriya is simply just lying there for a second before getting back up onto his feet. While Sunspot went careening into the ground, he actually landed in a city street, burning through the street and landing inside of it.
Now, he actually just tries to shake himself off and get back up. As soon as he is able to get back onto his feet, he turns off his abilities before quickly just going to move forward and land onto the ground, and he does actually feel exhausted. "Holy hell! His teachers can't even push him that far! , How does this kid keep up with me?"
Now, Midoriya is actually lying on the ground and is still somewhat dazed, as his team does actually come running up to him, and someone does actually help him onto his feet. Midoriya grabs a hand that has come up, as X-23, or I believe her name is Laura (I'd have to look into that), she pulls him onto his feet, telling Midoriya that that was one hell of a thing. And Midoriya does actually accept the compliments.
As Kurt tells Midoriya that they really shouldn't go that far, and that Midoriya should just fight against somebody else. "Yeah, probably. But even then, fighting that guy allows me to show off those powers."
"What do you mean 'why'?"
"Well, I don't know, firing off these strange blasts, they feel more comfortable, plus I don't really see any problem with it."
"Yeah, but what about phasing through during a battle?"
"Oh, yeah, I forget I can do that sometimes. But even then, I'm durable enough to not need to do that. Wait, that's funny!" laughing at the fact that Midoriya decides to take a punch just because he can.
Now, in reality, Midoriya, he's just trying to impress somebody here. Midoriya was already made aware of the fact that Kitty might have a crush on him, since back during the time, or whenever they were, well, she was putting her past self's body, she basically exposed the idea: they end up together in the future. And Midoriya already did like Kitty. Their powers are similar, and Midoriya basically has some advanced versions of her abilities. So there is the fact that he does want to ask her out, and she does always seem to be impressed by anything he can do. Now, Midoriya is trying not to let this go to his head, and they actually all do meet up with the other team. Everyone is talking, laughing, and having a bit more fun.
As we have Charles, who is actually monitoring the situation. Midoriya is alerted to something as he does actually look off to his right, and Charles is actually somewhat surprised. Midoriya noticed him. Midoriya just waves his hand and says something, moving his lips, and Charles does read them. As Midoriya tells Charles that everything is under control, he also assures Charles that he has held back and not to worry about them, as they're doing okay. Now, Midoriya went back to focusing on his friends. And he and Sunspot did actually begin to give each other a bit of trash talking, basically a camaraderie and rivalry being formed.
With that being said, this actually is quite interesting. As we actually do have a little bit later, everyone is going out and getting something to drink and hanging out for a minute, before Midoriya actually begins to talk with Kitty. Now, after he and her do begin to talk, it becomes quite apparent what's going on. Sunspot and his team leave, and X-23 makes up a fake excuse, talking about how a music shop is going to be closing soon, and basically waving off.
As we do actually have Magik, kinda of confused about what's going on, but then Kurt does actually somewhat say him and her do need to leave. Now, she's kind of confused, but he does actually just grab onto her shoulder and teleport them both away, as he does explain it a bit later.
Now, Midoriya and Kitty are just hanging out there, and it's kind of weird. All their friends suddenly just left. "Huh, if that's if that isn't something, hmm, weird."
"No, well, uh, let's just give this a shot."
"We're going to say, uh, 'Hey, Kitty!'" to which she just looks at him, going to talk about how this is actually a pretty fun day. "Doesn't she think?"
"Yeah, but either way, what's up?"
Now, Midoriya actually does take off his jacket, or rather, the X-Men jacket, as he removes it to reveal an undershirt. Now, he goes on talking about how it's actually pretty hot today, or, "Huh?" and basically trying to just make simple conversation.
Now, him and her do continue for a minute, before she actually does point out at Midoriya's arm. Yeah, Midoriya does actually look down at it to see some of a scratch, or at least a bruise or an injury, and just finds it to be quite surprising. "So that must have happened whenever Sunspot grabbed his arm and tried to do an attack. That's nothing to worry about, I'll be fine."
Kittyis actually saying that it's actually pretty serious, grabbing Midoriya's drink from, well, from off the table and actually putting it up to his arm. Him not visibly wincing in pain, but you can tell that he might be in pain, as she is somewhat just sitting there holding his drink up to his arm, as she is very close. And Midoriya, he does actually go to grab onto the drink, grabbing her hand and somewhat just holding onto it.
As he does actually begin to ask Kitty a question, "Uh, so, hey, this is kinda weird, huh?"
"Uh, yeah."
"Well, anyways, so, um, there's still time before we're supposed to be back, huh?"
"Yeah, so what?"
"Well, do you want to catch a movie?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I mean, I'm... I've been kind of interested in you for a while, and I'm not too sure if you remember from what happened a while back, but..."
She is actually somewhat surprised, her eyes whitening, before she quickly begins to blush, asking Midoriya if he's trying to ask her out on a date. To which he does actually say "Yes" very bluntly. She thought that Midoriya was joking for a second, surprised that he wasn't. Now, she just actually talked about how if they're going to go see a movie, well, they don't need to do that. If Midoriya didn't just want to ask her out, he could have just been straightforward with it.
Now, this is actually quite surprising, and the two do actually begin to head back to, let's say, the place they're staying at currently. It is a manor or a building similar to the manor back over in Japan. It's not exactly a replica, but it is a very big house with many rooms.
Later on that day, Midoriya and Kitty are both actually sitting down and watching an old horror movie, and Kitty is talking about how these things are stupid. "These things are stupid!" Basically, they begin to make fun of the movie and are just laughing. Now, Midoriya does actually find this to be a very, very happy experience, and he enjoys it quite a bit. However, this horror movie is quickly ruined whenever the TV switches over, and he's very confused, trying to find the remote. Now, he looks down at the table and tries to find it. There's the popcorn, some other snacks on the table, and he's actually just beginning to look around, before somebody finally does speak up.
Midoriya actually jumps up and looks behind him, surprised, as he sees Colossus, who is actually just talking about an urgent situation. Midoriya is kind of surprised, asking about it, before we do actually see what's happening in New York City. There is an alien invasion underway, and the forces are overwhelming.
Now, you can see it on the news: there's a giant portal up in the sky, there's a whole bunch of soldiers pouring out of it, and then there are those giant worm-like creatures. They're swimming through the air. And Midoriya immediately jumps to his feet, spinning around, and asks Colossus, "When do they need to leave?"
Colossus is trying to talk about how this is a more dangerous situation than Midoriya thinks, and that it is far out of his range of control. Kitty basically jumping up and saying, "No, it's not! They all need to help!"
Yeah, with that, Colossus does somewhat disagree. Kitty's powers could be of help, yes; however, she would still be in great danger. And Midoriya, yes, he's very powerful in his own right, but still, his parents didn't like what happened last time, and if they were to take him into a battlefield like this again, what would happen? "This will just get worse and worse and worse! So he is going to stay right here and listen to authority, listen to the people he is learning from, his teachers and his mentors. They will handle this!"
Now, with that, he does go to run out of the room and leave, as many other students here do, and come running out, hearing all the commotion going on as the Blackbird, I believe it's called, takes off and heads for America. Now, everyone rushes to see what's happening, and it's your typical Thursday: an alien invasion is happening somewhere in the world, and surprisingly, it's not in D.C., at least.
