POV: Bunny
The next morning came way too fast. I barely slept — thanks to someone and his over-the-top romantic lines echoing in my head like a dramatic background score.
By 6:45 a.m., I was ready. Dressed, packed, coffee in hand, and energy fully loaded.
But where was Mr. I-Don't-Need-An-Alarm?
Still asleep.
I walked into his room and found him curled up in bed like a giant lazy cat.
Bunny (deadpan):
"Wow. Amazing. 5-star boyfriend material."
Aarav (muffled):
"Just five more minutes…"
Bunny:
"If you don't get up in two minutes, I'm texting your second mom—aka my mom—that you bailed."
Aarav (instantly sitting up):
"Okay okay! I'm up! Don't drag Aunty into this!"
I smirked like the villain in a daily soap.
He totally deserved it.
POV: Aarav
By 7:15 a.m., we were on the road.
She sat beside me, hair in a loose bun, oversized hoodie, looking like she just walked out of a K-drama — effortlessly gorgeous.
Aarav (smirking):
"Keep looking like that and I might propose halfway."
Bunny (eye roll):
"Do it, and I'll leave you at the next toll booth."
Aarav:
"Love is so violent these days."
Later that day — Bunny's house
Her mom opened the door with her usual warmth — big smile, tight hug, and an instant scolding about us skipping proper breakfast. Her dad welcomed me like always, with his classic half-hug and,
Uncle:
"So Bunny actually let you come this time?"
Aarav (laughing):
"She didn't have a choice. I invited myself."
Aunty (laughing too):
"Good. You should come more often."
Bunny (muttering from behind):
"Seriously, whose side are you all on?"
I gave her a smug smile.
That Night — Bunny's Room
She was unpacking. I leaned on the doorframe, watching her.
Aarav:
"So… guest room again?"
Bunny:
"Of course. Try sneaking in and I'll scream."
Aarav (walking in):
"Your mom literally said last time ' always yes by my side'. Why are you still pretending?"
Bunny:
"Because you enjoy the chase."
Aarav:
"You know me too well."
She paused for a moment, then turned to face me — a little more serious this time.
Bunny:
"You really like coming here, don't you?"
Aarav (gently):
"When you're here, it feels like home. Always has."
She looked away quickly, like my words touched something too deep.
Aarav (taking a step closer, voice soft):
"I used to imagine this... not some grand love story. Just us. Your parents. This house. It felt like a dream. But now? It feels real."
Bunny (softly):
"Sometimes that's what scares me... how real this feels."
Aarav (holding her hand):
"Then let me be the one thing you're never scared of."
She stared at me — eyes unreadable.
And then…
Bunny (pulling her hand back with a teasing smirk):
"Goodnight, you hopeless movie character."
And she shut the door.
I just stood there, smiling like an idiot at her closed door.
Aarav (under his breath):
"She didn't say no."
