"FUUUCKK!!!!" It was at this moment Ieyasu realized he had fucked up.
When he touched the the Ryumyaku, the ten connected Eight-Trigrams Seal input "pipes" he had inscribed on his shoulders, chest, thighs, hands, feet and head immediately started absorbing as expected.
The problem was that he had underestimated the damn Ryumyaku chakra—if he hadn't use his Soul Flow to improvise a temporary protection, he would have died before even having the time to adapt.
He got to the equivalent of one HP, if he didn't have the Hashirama cells, he would have died.
If he didn't have Soul Flow, he would have died.
If he hadn't done what he thought was going "overboard" by placing several absorption channels, he would have died.
After he was finally off the hook, Ieyasu couldn't help thinking to himself, 'One can really is one's greatest enemy. It's just bullshit that Kaido couldn't kill himself, unless your build is heavily skewed towards survivability, you're always able to commit suicide, even by accident.'
'Never again, I'm only going Sage Mode after I'm 100% sure I won't turn into stone. Fuck power, I don't wanna die again, who knows if I'm getting another five-star service. I can't bet on hitting the jackpot again.'
'Just imagine if it's all suddenly nothingness or if I roll something like the Warhammer 40k universe, I'd be done. Especially if I get a shitty soul-processing system.' Ieyasu officially scared himself shitless today. He would probably do something stupid not long after this anyway, but at least for now his name was Mr. Prudent.
...
12 hours later, when the Sun was rising.
"Finally, this took so long even with so many input seals. Where did this freaky chakra sea even come from? The Otsutsuki are trying so hard to get chakra fruits when there's stuff like this naturally forming for free? Look, I don't even have a weird eye, much better. I guess that's the difference between transmigrstors and natives.' Ieyasu had the gall to say that when he was covered in dried up blood and just dead cells that formed a dark stinky gunk around every inch of his skin.
This guy really had a hard time in there, if it wasn't for Tsunade's loving massages over the years, he couldn't have done it.
'Speaking of Tsunade, she'll probably wake up anytime now, I should shower and get going.' Ieyasu used the Hizakura to pressure sand the gunk off of himself and then to wash himself with boiling water.
'Good as new, thank goodness Wood Release makes me naturally smell nice like plants and flowers, maybe that's why Madara... Nevermind.'
Ieyasu had no intention of investigating the extent of other people's bromance, 'I really hope the old Monkey isn't like that with Danzo, I mean, he's literally a married pervert. Wait, I really need to destroy that crystal ball of his, I just don't feel comfortable with a guy like that in the village. Fucking Monkey!'
'Hm, why is my mood so cranky? Maybe absorbing the Ryumyaku makes me a little unstable.'
'Well, it shouldn't be a big deal.'
At this moment, Ieyasu had arrived inside the Queen's chambers.
"Good morning, Your Majesty!"
"Aaaah! It's you! Why the hell are you in my room? Get out! There are lines you just don't cross." Seramu freaked out immediately when she was awoken by surprise, but she started to have some questions as she calmed down.
"Did you succeed?" She adjusted her night gowns as she spoke, it was truly embarassing to be seen like this was a young queen—the clothes covered her entire body, it's just that this 20 year old lady felt a little flustered with a bandit in her room.
"I almost died, but yeah, I succeeded." Ieyasu closed the door and stepped in. "I came here just to say that you can check the generator by yourself. I left some blueprints and prototypes for ways you can use the energy. Also, please don't trust any random guy in the future, it won't always work out. See you later, Your Majesty! Someone's waiting for me." He then teleported back to his inn's room just in time to wake up Tsunade.
"It really wasn't a dream, what a weird guy."
...
Back in the inn.
"Good! Morning! My! Beautiful! Tsu! Na! Chaaan!"
Someone immediately landed an axe kick on Ieyasu's shoulder, making a visible depression appear on the left side of his body, he also sunk into the inn's floor.
"What are you doing, moron? Don't wake me up like that, it's not funny." Tsunade said groggily as she picked Ieyasu up like a rice sack and laid him back down on the floor.
"Fix that with your Wood and Earth Release later, I'm going to eat breakfast."
'Fuck, this Ryumyaku instability is more troublesome than I thought, the next few days might be a bit painful.'
...
After fixing the inn's floor, Ieyasu sat down with Tsunade.
"Hey, the thing I said I wanted to do worked out. I'm absorbing the chakra right now, it should be done in a few days. Then I can permanently transfer some to you through my Soul Flow Tendrils after it fully becomes my chakra."
"Are you sure you're fine? Should I check up on your body?"
"You can always do whatever you want either my body."
"Shut up!"
"Anyway, do you have a place you want to go to now? We can still travel for a few more months."
"Hmm, I was thinking of going to the Land of Hot Water, we should go there as a final destination after visiting all the border countries on the way. Then if we have time we can visit the border countries to the east and south of the Land of Fire too."
"Sure, sounds great. And we can teleport part of the way now if you want, I marked the whole area on the way."
"Oh, you're the best! I hate walking in this desert, it's hell even for us as Jonin with special bodies."
"Let's not waste time, then, come!" Ieyasu quickly yanked Tsunade and teleported.
"Aah! You idiot!" That only earned him a half-asked punch to the chest, a bit lukewarm, didn't even hurt with just a minor bruise and fracture.
No internal hemorrhage either, it healed in an instant.
...
9 months later.
The couple had finally finished their pregn-- their honeymoon trip.
They had returned to Konoha as 18 year olds.
Nawaki was still in the Academy.
Sumiha had actually been promoted to Tokubetsu Jonin on account of having medical jutsu of Jonin level.
Although she specialized in medical jutsu, Sumiha was inspired by her brother and learned all sorts of Bukijutsu together with Kenjutsu.
She was almost like a fusion of Tenten, Yugao and a competent medical-nin.
She was bound to become a fully fledged Jonin sooner or later.
...
Inside the Hokage's office.
Hiruzen sat in his chair, smoking his pipe as he sent his ANBU guards away.
"Finally back, huh? Did you enjoy yourselves?"
"Yes, we did, teacher." Ieyasu answered honestly.
"It was rhetorical, brat. In the year you've been gone, we could have really used your presence here. I've been having a bad feeling about the other nations, there are more and more signs that they're preparing for war. We have to be prepared, so you can't arbitrarily leave Konoha again for the time being."
"Old man, why don't you just send me to Kumo? I may not be able to kill the Third Raikage, but anyone else is free game. And besides, no one can catch me, I've improved the Flying Raijin to be instantaneous and cost less chakra. Just say the word and I'll raze Kumo to the ground. Iwa and Suna aren't much without their Kages and Jinchuriki anyway, so handling them is easier, especially with the more advantageous defensive geography we have against them."
"Are you crazy, if we attack Kumo now, we'll start a war again."
"And what's wrong with that? They're all restless anyway, let's show them that Konoha is still way ahead of them no matter how much weaker our new Hokage is."
"You! So damn rude! Have some respect for your teacher, I've already taught them a lesson last time, even if I was almost out of chakra, Onoki and Ay shouldn't know that. They might not necessarily start a war, at least not anytime soon."
"But if we give them years more to prepare and strengthen themselves, aren't we shooting ourselves in the foot? Is it really wise to delay it like this instead of crushing them decisively when we have the advantage? Are you worried about Kiri's involvement? Even though we can't gauge their current strength, I have the feeling I'm close to getting Scorch Release, and they can't do much against it."
"It's not that, I just want to avoid another war if possible. While Suna and Kumo are more reckless, Iwa won't act without confidence, Onoki is just as insidious and ruthless as his predecensors. So if we can ally with Kumo like teacher did and appease Suna, there might not be any war, at least nor for a very long time."
"I get it, I'll just do missions in the village, then. I just wanted to loot Iwa and Kumo for their Kage's jutsu." Ieyasu admitted his reasoning, he honestly wasn't a war hungry supremacy seeker like Danzo, he knew that was a possible path to order, but he didn't feel the need to follow it for now.
"Okay, just don't do anything stupid. Please keep an eye on him, Tsunade."
"Got it. You can rest assured, teacher."
Ieyasu felt some malice towards him from that interaction, so he decisively teleported behind Hiruzen and grabbed his crystal ball from the drawer.
Before anyone else could react, he had already teleported it to a bird miles away flying over the ocean—the ball would not survive.
"You little-" Hiruzen immediately realized what had happened, he was slightly embarrassed about being discovered by his student, but that emotion was overshadowed by rage—that ball was the most expensive regular item in the entire village pound for pound, it was one of a kind.
That was obviously also the reason Ieyasu did this in the first place, if it could be replaced, there was no point in destroying it.
Before Hiruzen could complain, Ieyasu grabbed Tsunade and went to Grandma Mito's in the Senju compound.
"Sigh, how am I supposed to live until my old age with disciples like this. I thought four students wasn't too much because teacher also had four, or more accurately, six. It's just that mine are simply too... too lively."
