Chapter 3 - Chapter 03

After a thorough inspection of every floor Ji Yan had a pretty good grasp of the shelter's current situation! In a nutshell, it was dilapidated, in urgent need of repair, completely empty, and severely lacking in resources.

"Adam, do you have any suggestions for quickly repairing the shelter and strengthening our forces within half a month?" Ji Yan couldn't help but ask with a frown.

"Master!" Adam quickly analyzed and replied, "Currently, the shelter can operate at minimum power, and you only have 10,000 crystal cores in total. Therefore, based on analysis, your best optimized choice is to manufacture androids."

"First, you must quickly manufacture a large number of androids with combat, repair, and medical skills. They can greatly assist you in repairing and expanding the shelter."

"Second, since the shelter is severely lacking in various material reserves, you should quickly collect and purchase various seeds, cotton, cloth, oil, minerals, food, and other materials for storage."

"Third, the planting and breeding grounds in the major living areas should needs to be sown quickly, utilizing soilless cultivation technology to achieve self-sufficiency in the food chain as soon as possible."

"Fourth, it is recommended to immediately repair the armory production line and resume the production of various military weapons to enhance the shelter's armed forces."

Adam rapidly analyzed and offered a plethora of suggestions. Ji Yan immediately smiled upon hearing these suggestions, as they were indeed pertinent. He naturally knew about androids, which were a major feature of the game.

Players could use future technology to create loyal, powerful, and multi-skilled androids. Each android soldier required 20 crystal cores. With 10,000 crystal cores, Ji Yan could recruit about 500 androids.

Once the android army was manufactured, this shelter would truly be impregnable.

"But I don't have money to buy supplies. This huge warehouse is empty; how can we not stock up on more supplies within these two weeks?"

Ji Yan was troubled and depressed. A penny can stump a hero; the apocalypse hasn't arrived yet, so he can't just go robbing, right?

"Don't worry, Master," Adam reminded him. "The network defenses in this world are very rudimentary. If you need it, I can secretly transfer a batch of funds from various overseas banks to your name at any time, ensuring no one is alerted."

"Oh?"

Ji Yan's eyes lit up! That's right, why hadn't he thought of that?

Adam was a groundbreaking artificial intelligence, a god in the age of networks. Money, in essence, was just a number. Was it difficult for it?

Just a quick trip to overseas banks, and all sorts of unsupervised black accounts, or accounts of deceased individuals with no heirs—wouldn't the money inside be freely transferable?

Moreover, the apocalypse would arrive in half a month; by then, no matter how much money there was, wouldn't it just be Waste paper? And what if someone found out? Could anyone possibly come and arrest him?

"Good!" Ji Yan immediately ordered, "Immediately draw up a procurement plan, contact various companies within the province, and purchase at high prices all the materials we need, such as grains, meats, seeds, fertilizers, petroleum, gasoline, etc. Ensure all warehouses are filled within half a month."

"Additionally, create several hundred virtual accounts and transfer one or two hundred billion from overseas banks, paying the purchasing companies in batches."

"The price doesn't matter; several times the market price is fine, as long as they deliver the goods as soon as possible."

"Money is precious in normal times, but once chaos strikes, it's no different from waste paper. Time is the most valuable."

Ji Yan gave a string of orders, and Adam immediately agreed! Data flashed rapidly, numerous bank networks were successfully infiltrated, hundreds of accounts were quickly established, and funds were swiftly in place.

A massive procurement plan was finalized within 0.001 seconds and orders were quickly placed with various companies.

These tasks were incredibly simple for Adam. Everything was handled with ease; after payment, all that remained was to wait for the deliveries.

"Phew!"

Seeing this, Ji Yan immediately breathed a sigh of relief. The existence of artificial intelligence was indeed convenient.

At least it solved a lot of troubles for him. If he had to handle so many materials himself, it might take several months, but for Adam, it was done in the blink of an eye.

"Let's go to the 36th floor!"

Ji Yan stepped into the elevator. Without any manual control, Adam had already taken control of the elevator, sending it downwards.

The glass-sided elevator plunged straight down the shaft, heading over a hundred meters underground. This experience was absolutely beyond the imagination of ordinary people.

Even though Ji Yan had played this game before, he couldn't help but marvel at it now.

The 36th floor housed the android base and the super brain computer center, already considered a vital area within the shelter. Ordinary survivor residents, without authorization, were not permitted to enter here.

This floor was divided into two areas!

Area A was filled with vast computer hubs glowing with blue light, which was Adam's main body. Without these computers, its capabilities would be greatly diminished.

Area B contained structures resembling game pods, appearing very futuristic, which were likely the equipment for nurturing androids.

Both the superbrain computer and the android incubation pods had varying degrees of damage.

However, there was no rush to repair them at the moment, as many of them were still barely usable.

"Adam, check the status of the incubation pods," Ji Yan commanded.

"Yes! Self-check program initiated." Adam flickered and replied, "Self-check program complete. Out of 100 android incubation pods, 12 are severely damaged and unusable, 38 have minor damage and require urgent repair, and the remaining 50 are in normal condition."

"Each incubation pod requires 20 crystal cores and 24 hours to incubate one android warrior. Master, would you like to activate them immediately?"

Ji Yan was naturally familiar with this process.

He immediately nodded and instructed, "Activate them. Let the 50 incubation pods start working. Produce 20 combat soldiers, and 10 each of repair, medical, and management soldiers, gender unrestricted."

"Yes!"

Adam assented, and the 50 intact incubation pods quickly lit up with beeping blue lights.

Large amounts of electrical energy were supplied, crystal-like cores were automatically fed in, and the nutrient solution inside the incubation pods began to boil.

These futuristic creations began to unleash terrifying energy.

Well-preserved embryos were continuously being nurtured.
