Chapter 141 - A Daughter's Vengeance: The Price of a Father's Life
I stood in the cemetery, autumn wind whipping through my hair as I watched my father's pathetic form hunched at my mother's grave. His fingers traced her name on the cold stone with trembling hands. A performance, no doubt.
"Not just Mom's grave," I said, stepping past him to the headstone beside my mother's. "You should pay your respects to Grandfather as well."
My father's eyes widened as he took in the adjacent grave marker:

HONORABLE BUSINESSMAN AND FATHER
BETRAYED BY THOSE HE TRUSTED
"You..." Harrison's voice cracked. "You buried him next to her?"
"Where else would I put him? Next to the man who stole his company and drove him to an early grave?" I stared pointedly at my father, whose face drained of whatever little color it had left.
Eleanor tugged at Harrison's sleeve. "This is ridiculous. We came for medical help, not a guilt trip through family history. Let's go."
