He choose god level chess skill and as for zoan devil fruit, he could choose the body and element he wanted.
He can already transform into a phoenix with fire and ice power, due to the first reward.
He already had wind, fire and ice. He chose thunderstorm as his control element. The ability to control storm and if used his ice powers in it, it will become a hailstorm.
He chose Alicorn in the body option as it looked beautiful and majestic.

He also noticed that his magic was being replenished at a really high rate, as he observed, he understood that his body was absorbing natural energy like in Naruto and convert it into magical energy.
With this, he can use magic all he wanted without any worry.
He then tested his thunderstorm powers and like he expected, he can profoundly control lightning and wind and water.
The sky suddenly darkened and thick black clouds formed and a small thunderstorm raged in the Phoenix territory of the underworld.
Riser stopped and made plans for his future.

Thunder fruit is good and all but he didn't really need it, shock fruit is powerful but he don't know how to get her from Odin. The most feasible was third option and he already had the plans brewing, waiting to strike Diodora.
Having the Twilight Heal and 1000 healing mark was a good deal.
So, he chose option three.

With his plans in motion, Riser started training his new powers in seclusion.
A week later, inhis training room which was half molten and half frozen, Riser was looking at Yubelluna with a small smile.

Yubelluna obeyed his commands and went out. She was confused with her master's behaviour, two weeks ago, he suddenly softened his attitude towards her and his other peerage. This was a confusing but a nice change, she enjoyed his warmth and by the looks of it, he stopped persuing Rias which was a good news for her.
As Diodora was planning to capture another maiden for his peerage, Riser was ready to kill Diodora in this mission and slander the old church officials.
He went to Venezuela, Italy with his peerage. They roamed in Italy during daytime and at night, Riser's plan has begun.
Under the astonished gazes of his peerage, he used his fruit power and created thick clouds to cover the sky and made his peerage stand on a cloud in the sky and observe Diodora from above.
"I will move just as the devil goes towards the church and you guys kill all the subordinates of Diodora and stall time for me to come."
He saw that the disguised devil has made half way to the church and Riser made his move, he killed that devil in an instant and took his place. He created a wound on his chest and his back. He moved towards the church and stumbled on the door, just then Asia walked out and seeing someone injured, she rushed to help him.
Riser, acting like he was a Oscar awarded actor, pretended to be sad and said that he was a devil and by healing him, she has offended the church, her reply was that the church will never betray her. To this, Riser simply said that if something happens due to today's incident, she can come to him for help as he owes her one.
She agreed and went back. Riser came to his peerage who were busy holding off Diodora Astaroth.
"You lowly servants, how dare you attack me, that playboy should put a leash on you guys." He said angrily. Just then, a thunderbolt fell in him prompting him to cry out miserably. Riser appeared there and said, " No one can slander my women, who gave you the guts to say something like that."
" Riser Phenex, what is the meaning of this? Don't you know that I have a mou brother?"
" You are not Rias or Sona, your brother never cared about you. So now, you can rest in peace."
Riser used his ice powers and frozen Diodora to death, then he melted the ice and use lightning to destroy Diodora's body to make it look like this was done by the user of Zenith Tempest not him.
He returned to his hotel in Venezuela and waited for Asia.
Meanwhile, rumors spread that Asia Argento, the holy maiden has healed a devil and the church took away her title and severely punished her. But, she held on her faith. The church issued an order to go to the church in Koah town.
She then visited Riser and told him about this to which he just shook his head. Her loyalty is quite deep.
He asked his rook Isabela to escort Asia while he finished his work. He will meet her in Kuoh Town directly.
As Asia left, Riser also went to his underworld mansion. There, he processed to meet the Citri heiress.
Next day, in the Kuoh Town, Kuoh Academy. During lunch break in the student council room, Sona and Tsubaki were arranging some documents. Suddenly, a icy-blue magic circle with the Phoenix pattern appeared on the floor. As a figure emerged from the circle, a dense cold aura spread in the room.

"Riser Phenex, why are you here? I believe you know that Rias is in the occult club. Perhaps you made a mistake." She poked him to see his attitude towards her as this is the first time she has met him. She only heard about him from Rias and those were definitely not good things.
" Or perhaps not. I am here to meet you Miss Sona." Riser waves at her peerage who were dazed and sat across Sona with Yubelluna at his back."
He yawned and said " So, you busy or something. Should I come after you are done with you duties."
Yubelluna interjected " Riser sama, we are here for important business, please focus."
Riser was nonchalant and just looked at Sona." No, nothing important, we can talk."
"Oh, I see. How about we talk while playing chess." Yubelluna presented a chess board and Sona nodded switch a raised eyebrows.
" What about your engagement with Rias? How is it going?" She tried to understand his intentions.
" Ah, her, well as usual trying to break the marriage but her father is insistent on transferring his burden on me." Riser said lazily while making a move.
"But she just hates you for being a playboy."
" Being a what? A playboy, well I am the same as his brother or father or your father or my father. If that's her excuse then she should try better. She is just a spoiled child, if not for the marriage contract sealed by my old man, I wouldn't have bothered with her and even now her siscon bro is scheming something. Sigh....so troublesome."
He laughed and shrugged.
Sona couldn't refute, so she asked " Why did you want to meet me?"
" Diodora Astaroth, you already know his methods of abducting nuns for his peerage. A thing which can even cause war between angels and devils, yet he was ignorant."
Sona furrowed her eyebrows at this topic and said" But he did die, near a church probably attempting to abduct another nunfir his peerage."
" Yes, he is dead and don't tell anyone but I was the one who killed him not the church but I did put the blame on Zenith Tempest of the church faculty." Riser chuckled.
Sona widened her eyes, " No way, Why did you do that?"
"He colluded with the fallens to abduct a nun with a sacred gear and wanted to start a war. He is dead but the fallens are still unaware and ready to get her sacred gear." He said as lightning danced on his hands.
" So, what do you want." Sona asked grimly as for why he came here.
"The fallen angels are in Kuah town and I will act against them. I have already marked that nun, so I will kill them. I am here to ask for your permission to act in your territory and not to interfere. I garantee that no civilian will be involved."
Sona was stunned, ask her permission to act. So, he recognises this territory as hers.
She agreed but still couldn't put her head around the situation. She reached out to make her move but Riser interrupted her." Oh, by the way, I forgot to say. It's a checkmate."
With that, under the stunned eyes of everyone, he walked away with his queen.
Everyone has the same thought, the president lost and it wasn't like he distracted her on the topic of Diodora, he had stopped moving even before that topic was brought up.
Sona was frozen, lost, she lost the match. She had conditioned that she will marry the one who bears her in chess. So, wouldn't that make him her fiance.
