Chapter 8 - 8. Everyone has their own learning method

During the previous experiment, Ivan also noticed a hidden factor: the accumulation of knowledge itself would affect the efficiency and speed of learning.

This is why reading "A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration" only took about twenty minutes of the Academic Experience Card time, while reading "Detailed Explanation of Basic Spell Principles" was much slower, only half of it being read in thirty minutes.

The rapid reading of "A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration" was partly due to Ivan's existing foundation in casting Transfiguration Charms, and partly because he had already read the book once and had an understanding of its contents.

On the other hand, "Detailed Explanation of Basic Spell Principles" involved a wider range of knowledge, and Ivan had not read it in advance, so the reading speed was relatively slower.

After analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the Academic Experience Card, Ivan immediately realized that the optimal way to make good use of this one hour was to read the corresponding book once first. After reading it, he could use the Academic Experience Card to improve his understanding and thinking abilities and then review it again, so that he could maximize the use of his time.

Moreover, each time a magic book is thoroughly understood, there will be Academic Point rewards. In addition, improving the level of spells and accumulating Academic Points can be used to exchange for Academic Experience Cards. With such a cycle, wouldn't his strength improve by leaps and bounds?

Just now, Ivan only finished reading half of "Detailed Explanation of Basic Spell Principles", and the proficiency of all the spells he knew increased a lot. Among them, the Levitation Charm and the Disarming Charm, like the Transfiguration Charm, were upgraded to Level 1, rewarding him with another ten Academic Points.

This allowed Ivan's originally cleared Academic Points to increase by another twenty points, greatly reducing the time to accumulate Academic Points next time.

Thinking of this, Ivan looked at the vast sea of magic books in the library and suddenly realized that these were all Academic Points!

If he could read them all, Ivan could hardly imagine how much his strength would increase.

Thinking of this, Ivan regained his fighting spirit.

However, contrary to his wishes, Ivan was informed that the library's lights-out time had arrived just as he was about to work hard.

Only then did Ivan realize that he had been in the library for more than three hours.

"Children, learning knowledge is important, but it is equally important to pay attention to the combination of work and rest. Now, go back to your respective dormitories!" Mrs. Pince drove away the little wizards who were still planning to stay in the library.

As the librarian of Hogwarts, she certainly wouldn't hate little wizards who loved knowledge, as long as they didn't make a lot of noise in the library, but the headmaster had regulations on the library's opening hours, and Mrs. Pince couldn't extend them.

Ivan stepped forward at this time, holding the half-read "Detailed Explanation of Basic Spell Principles" in his hand, indicating.

"Madam, can I borrow this book?"

"Of course, as long as it can be returned within the stipulated time." Mrs. Pince glanced at it, and after seeing the title of the book clearly, she nodded casually.

After speaking, Mrs. Pince turned her head and searched in the library. There were always a few people who liked to hide themselves in the sea of books, intending to slip into the restricted area after lights out.

Of course, there were also some who were so engrossed in reading that they forgot the time.

"Thank you," Ivan politely nodded his thanks, and then left the library with the book in hand. He couldn't wait to go back and try out those improved spells.

"Make way, make way!"

Ivan, who had just turned around and taken a few steps, only had time to hear a few crisp female voices behind him before he felt himself being bumped into, his forehead making intimate contact with the wall, and then he sat down on the ground, the "Detailed Explanation of Basic Spell Principles" in his hand falling to the ground as well.

Fortunately, the impact was not strong. Ivan touched his somewhat red forehead and got up.

Ivan first picked up the book, and then noticed the little girl who had clumsily bumped into him.

The first thing that caught his eye was her thick brown hair, which was messy and obviously lacked the owner's care. The standard wizard robes worn on her body seemed a little too big, and several magic books were scattered around her.

"Hermione?" Ivan was stunned for a moment, but quickly understood the situation.

Presumably, our Miss Know-It-All was in too much of a hurry when Mrs. Pince drove her out of the library, which is why she bumped into him directly from behind.

"Ivan?" Hermione was also quite shaken by the collision. It wasn't until Ivan helped her up that she stood up. "Oh, I'm sorry, I might have been a little dazed just now. I didn't expect to bump into you."

"It's okay, just be careful next time." Ivan picked up the books on the ground and returned them to Hermione, shaking his head to indicate that he didn't mind.

However, after seeing the book in Ivan's hand, Hermione immediately opened the floodgates and began to talk non-stop.

"I've borrowed this book, 'Detailed Explanation of Basic Spell Principles,' before, and I've learned a lot of new magic skills.

Oh my gosh, I never knew that a strong will could greatly increase the power of some spells, but this requires the wizard to have a high degree of magic control, otherwise, it is very likely to cause the magic to lose control."

Speaking of this, Hermione seemed to have thought of something, and her voice became louder as she said, "By the way, learning requires understanding and memorization, not just flipping through the book from beginning to end.

Compared to reading books like 'Detailed Explanation of Basic Spell Principles,' I think you should memorize all the textbooks first!"

Hermione blurted out her thoughts or experiences like a machine gun, perhaps feeling that she was helping Ivan, but there was a bit of condescension in her tone.

Ivan understood that Hermione must have seen him using the Academic Experience Card to study in the second half, so she was kindly reminding him, but Hermione's arrogant tone still made Ivan frown slightly imperceptibly.

"Thank you for the reminder, but I think everyone has their own suitable learning methods," Ivan said lightly, and then he understood a little why Harry, Ron, and other little wizards didn't like the clever Hermione.

It must be said that before Halloween, Miss Granger's personality was indeed not very likable.

"How is that possible?"

Hermione was still thinking of continuing to lecture, but she was interrupted by Ivan's actions as soon as she opened her mouth.

"Quick Transfiguration~" Ivan waved his wand and tapped it lightly on the parchment that Hermione was using to take notes. The parchment made a slight vibration, and then it swelled and deformed. The slightly rough parchment surface slowly became smooth and flawless.

Right in front of Hermione, in just one or two seconds, Ivan completed the process from reciting the spell to waving the wand in one go, as standard as Professor McGonagall's demonstration in class, and the parchment had now turned into a thin jade slab.
