The empty hall of the abandoned building echoed with Vertin's voice, a sly smirk playing on her lips. "So, let's start, shall we?"
Agent, ever the picture of a dutiful maid, responded smoothly, "Of course."
Vertin wasted no time with pleasantries. "Alright, I'll go first. What do you want us to do?"
Agent's reply was blunt, "Straight to the point, huh? Very well. I need you to provide the locations of every G&K base, and other intel about G&K operations."
Vertin shook her head. "Mhm... I can't give you every base and all of the intel. Providing all of them would make G&K suspicious and blow my cover. But I can give you some."
"Very well. Can you share the base locations and intel you know of, then?" Agent pressed.
"Of course. I even know G&K's secret base," Vertin paused, a glint in her eye.
"But I do need some kind of payment first." Agent stared at Vertin, her gaze probing,
as if searching for a hidden agenda. After a moment, she conceded,
"Very well. I will send the payment."
"Send it here," Vertin said, her voice serious. "I don't want G&K or Kryuger tracking this arrangement."
"Of course," Agent replied, a secure
transfer initiated through an AI system. "It is done. Feel free to check it."
Vertin silently prompted her AI. (AI, check it.)
[Understood... The money has been deposited in the account. Transfer to system?]
(Yes! I finally got money!) Vertin thought, a surge of triumph washing over her.
[money have been transferred to system]
"Now then, here, catch." Vertin tossed a flash drive to Agent. "Inside are the locations of G&K bases and some of intel that will interest you," vertin said to agent
Agent caught the drive, examining it. "It looks like you came prepared."
"Well, let's just say I always have one ready for emergencies," Vertin responded casually.
"Well then, anything else?" Vertin asked.
"No. You can go. For our next meeting, you can contact me with this." Agent tossed a radio to Vertin. "Don't worry about it being bugged or G&K tapping it. It's very secure."
"I will be the judge of that," vertin said, already turning to leave.
"Well then, this is where we end our meeting." agent said bowing to vertin
"Wait!" Vertin called out, stopping Agent.
Agent turned, her gaze questioning.
"I need to destroy or cripple the base. Is that okay with you?" Vertin asked.
"Sure, but I will recall the Hunters back. I don't want a Ringleader getting scraped," Agent replied, before finally departing.
"Well, you said so," Vertin muttered with a smirk.
At the front gate, the sounds of battle raged. Multiple Sangvis T-Dolls relentlessly assaulted Dom and the sniper team.
"I'm running out of ammo!" Dom yelled, scrambling for cover.
"I'm almost out too," SVD added.
"Down to three mags," G43 reported grimly.
"We need support here!" Dom shouted into her comms.
"Consider it done." A figure descended the hill, weapons ready. It was Magella.
"Magella, you came!" Dom cried, relief flooding her.
As Magella landed, a barrage of shots struck her, but they did no damage. "You think those weapons can stop me!" Magella roared, her anger rising.
The T-Dolls continued their relentless fire until Hunter arrived, joining the assault on Magella.
[No penetration!]
The warning further enraged Magella. "You dare hit me? You can't even hurt me, so DIE!" She unleashed a torrent of fire from her weapons at Hunter.
"Oh no," Hunter muttered, scrambling to dodge the incoming rounds.
"LOAD HE ROUNDS!" Magella commanded her weapon system.
[Loading HE rounds.]
"HAHAHAHA! DIE! DIE! DIE!" Magella shrieked, her demeanor growing increasingly unhinged.
(Damn! You know what? I'm out of here. I ain't dealing with that crap.) Dom thought, before shouting, "Ah, look at the time! I've got to water the air! Bye!" She bolted, running as far away as possible from magella.
Magella continued to rain down hell, bombing the front gate with HE rounds and machine gun fire, tearing the Sangvis T-Dolls to shreds while Hunter desperately sought cover.
Meanwhile, Vertin had placed explosives at the SAM site. "Boom! Ah, the fresh smell of explosives in the morning is the best." She then radioed Dopp for an airstrike.
"Dopp, you know what to do," Vertin said, a smirk still on her face.
"You got it, boss," Dopp's voice crackled over the radio.
Dopp ascended into the sky, soaring towards the base, her weapons primed.
"Hahaha! Prepare to be lit up like in the Fourth of July!" she exclaimed, eager to unleash her payload.
Reaching the base, Dopp prepared to unleash hell on the Sangvis T-Dolls. "DEATH FROM ABOVE!" she roared, firing and dropping her payload, engulfing the base in a fiery inferno.
As Dopp unleashed her destruction, Hunter received orders from Agent to escape.
"Agent, who did you even hire? Are they working with us or with G&K?" Hunter muttered, witnessing the devastation wrought by Magella and Dopp's team.
"What's more, the one I met before getting dismissed by my agent... if they can do this, what else is that person capable of?" Hunter swiftly exited the area.
"Mission successful. All units are to rendezvous at the designated location. Happy hunting!" Vertin announced over her radio.
"Man, those T-Dolls are really crazy, don't you think?" SVD commented to Mosin.
"Well, they are a bit... uncanny, but they're good people," Mosin replied.
"Dopp looks so sweet, but in battle, she acts totally differently," SVD mused.
"I never thought Magella would act like that. She seemed the quiet one," G43 added.
"I just want to go home," Gepárd M1 groaned.
As the sniper team trudged towards the evac point, the Zeon team was already there, chatting amongst themselves.
"So, did anything happen?" Vertin asked Dom.
Dom glanced at Magella, who subtly gave her an ominous look and a gesture to keep quiet.
"Dom, are you alright?" Vertin asked, concerned.
"Ah! No, nothing happened," Dom stammered.
"Alright then. I guess we just have to wait for the sniper team to get back," Vertin said, settling down.
