Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 : An Impossible Obstacle

Scaling through buildings with a bloodied blade which dripped of the liquid, rhythmically he said, " Bless the Lord, Embodiment Of Visionary, Undead Creator, Singular Might, Lord of destinies and Ruler of Fate. "

It was his natural mantra which he used in refilling his mantra gauge, normally he would be in a relaxed meditative position as that would help for faster regeneration but it was still active if he recited it in motion.

Currently he had used his dark mantra to teleport twice so it would remain three more times of usage, however due to the fact he recited the natural mantra it had increased to four more times of usage.

Slowly he was learning about his capabilities as he didn't have this idea until now, the natural mantra was a chant he normally used to augment his strength and physical condition.

It wasn't as potent as the primordial enhancement but it served as an alternative, now he had come up with an amazing theory which would prove to be extremely helpful in future.

At a moments notice he approached the seven building which dwarfed others with it's magnificent grandeur, it was built out of polished bricks from top to bottom.

Had a roofing of clear zinc and glass windows, only radiating with the aura of nobility.

Lucian stopped and gaze down on the building carefully calculating his next plans, immediately he pictured out and programed the coming events.

Unfortunately he had to scrap that idea as he noticed the door of the building slowly open and two people walked out, one a middle aged male of about fifty.

And someone Lucian presumed to be his wife, a woman of fourty six years clung to her husband's arm as a form of safeguard.

The man, fully clothed in a white flowing gown with the red cross of the templars crested on it, he also wore a leather short sleeve which was left unbuttoned.

The man laughed as he chatted with his wife, together they approached a carriage pulled by horses, it lay across the street with it's driver gentle snoozing away his time.

Lucian studied the noble wooden carriage, " Quite the biggest I've ever seen " he commented, it was truly large as seven people could sit on the covering and there would be a little space.

Naturally Lucian figured out it was used to convey soldiers across towns and villages, it wasn't strong enough to be driven into battle, nevertheless it had high durability.

After a brief conversation with the driver, the horses were ready to ride and Lucian was ready to move.

As soon as the four wheels of the vehicle became active, Lucian leaped to it's top, his impact as silent as the western wind, bending low Lucian crawled to the back of the carriage holding on out pushed nails for support.

From there he crawled under the carriage and held on it's under frame, he was finally in place.

Whilst under the carriage, he recited his shadow mantra to pass time, " Lord Arvino, take care ", " Master, Greet you children for me ", " Arvino, be on alert."

Words of greetings flew back and forth, some biding goodbye, others warning of lurking dangers.

Although it annoyed him a little, Lucian appreciated those greetings as they helped him monitor the locations of the carriage.

He kept track of the meticulous movements by the horses but while waiting for the perfect time to strike, a realization dawned on him, Why didn't Arvino take an protection with him.

Research done on him showed that he had a kind of mental talent, although Lucian didn't know the full details, he was concerned about what he was jumping into.

The pay was tremendous, sixty iron rilacs was the monthly income of a peasant family of four and it was enough for survival, then you would count a copper rilac which was a hundred iron rilacs.

Normally Lucian receives a hundred iron rilac per mission and so far this was his most payed job which sounded to good to be true.

" Something's off " he mumbled to himself
