Every part of me screamed at me to stop. To remember my plan. To walk away before I lost myself in him completely.
But my heart didn't care.
My body didn't listen.
I moaned softly into the kiss, my fingers curling in Nathan's hair as his arms wrapped around me, tight and possessive.
With effortless strength, he lifted me off the floor, and I gasped—instinctively wrapping my legs around his waist.
He carried us toward the bed, our lips locked, breath tangling, hearts pounding.
The kiss deepened—hungry, desperate, full of all the feelings we were trying to hide.
His hands held me like I was something breakable, but his mouth claimed me like he couldn't breathe without me.
When he finally laid me down, the warmth of his body hovered over mine, his eyes searching mine.
And just for a moment… he pulled back.
Like he was giving me a choice.
Like he was afraid if he kept going, there'd be no turning back.
